Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) spent more than $10M on his primary battle against ex-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R), according to his 2ndQ campaign finance report, leaving him with a much narrower financial advantage in the GOP primary than he once enjoyed.
McCain has spent a total of $15.7M this cycle, according to FEC reports, and he has just $1.78M left to spend before the Aug. 24 GOP primary. Hayworth had $922K in the bank, his reports showed.
"Senator McCain takes every campaign seriously, and this race is no exception. Senator McCain is proud of the statewide support he's received from Arizonans, both financial and otherwise," said McCain spokesperson Brian Rogers.
McCain has been blanketing the AZ airwaves with TV ads, but he has apparently made a significant cutback in the size of his buy lately. According to Hayworth media consultant Dan Bayens, McCain has reduced his ad spending from $150K-$250K a week -- where he had been since March -- down to $40K a week currently.

Tell the voters about the difference in campaign spending from the guy who wrote the unconstitutional CFR, and ask why the seat is so damn valuable to him?

Hildy, I have written to JD a couple of times with my ideas. He used one, but not the one with Graham inteview
.
This one is gold. I mean CFR was his baby. Shove it down his throat.
I wish I could be there to help him in person
Senator McCain takes every campaign seriously,””
No
didn’t take the one against Obama seriously
and that’s why he lost !!!!!!!!!!!
You can include Fox News...he's been getting a lot of free air time, particularly from Greta & Fox News Sunday.
I was getting lots of robo calls too. Not every day but lots. I pressed "9" on my phone and...PRESTO...the voice said my name had been removed from the call list. Haven't had a call since.
For Mr McCain/Feingold, who supposedly doesn’t believe in “buying elections” via media buys, to club his opponent with media buys is for him to reveal that it never was about anything but power in the first place.
Also, Mr Nicey-Nice McCain, who wouldn’t campaign “hard” against Obama, was a lie. If nothing else, this senate campaign reveals a decision on his part during the presidential campaign NOT to put everything into winning.
I will never again vote for any national level candidate who doesn’t first leave his/her senate or governor position. They should have no fallback position.
2008 was McCain’s arrogance on national display. He thought he didn’t have to work to earn the votes of the American electorate. In the end, Zero did a better job of selling his lies and snake oil to the dumbed down American voter than did McCain. For all our sakes, let’s pray enough AZ voters decide REAL change is a good thing, and vote for JD Hayworth.
There is only 1 real rule when it comes to politics:
There are no rules.
Heck, he’s got what’s left of his presidential war chest....and 10,000,000 is a pretty cheap senate seat for his wife’s beer distributorship to pony up if needed as well...

I have heard that Sarah is no longer campaigning for McLame, and hasnt been since March or April.
“Yet her recorded clips have been playing in Arizona since then. I’d call that campaigning.”
Of course “you” would because facts interfere with your “get Sarah” agenda. Were you not such a [blip] and [blip], I would have expected to find your name among the journOlists.
Sarah Palin has always been too good for McCain, but now she’s also too big for him. He’s a parasite. Arizona voters need to do the nation a favor by retiring him.
Sarah Palin has returned to Arizona several times since March, but only to appear in person with Governor Brewer to back and support AZ’s new law.
During both debates, McCain never once mentioned Sarah Palin or her endorsement, although he’s famous for name-dropping. You have to ask yourself “why” if her endorsement is so [blip] important?
After all, this was his shining chances, two nights in a row to tell Arizona voters on LIVE TV in front of JD that SARAH PALIN ENDORSES HIM!
Well, what the [blip] happened? Is her endorsement important or is it not? I’m guessing NOT.
The radio ads you referenced are not campaigning -— they’re a standard part of endorsements unless otherwise specified as Rand Paul’s campaign learned.
I’ve stated all the above facts on other threads. It’s amazing how many times the same information has to be repeated because posters like you, continue to go thread to thread, repeating the same tired lies.

Dangerous voting bloc!
He’s got one foot inside the Beltway! :)
>>> HAS JD used that in his campaign?
I seriously doubt it... We may have to do the attack ad commercial for him.
“Wonder what his poll numbers are today?”
JD’s polls aren’t looking all that great - although Rasmussen, which is more accurate, has him down by only 11 w. 17% undecided in June. Not sure why, as Brewer’s doing well, but perhaps many establishment repubes in AZ think McCain is just a fine hero and will really support our fight against illegal immigration (when we know the truth about McAmnesty in all his formulations). But JD still has a shot - and things could change. Let’s hope and pray and work for such!

Mafia ties:
In 1995, McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph "Joe Bananas" Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona. Another politician to send regrets was Governor Fife Symington, who has since been kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felonies relating to fraud and extortion.

McCain's mafia ties go back further than that ... all the way back to Cindy McCain's mafia connected dad, who launched McCain's career and put him on the nipple of Charles Keating and friends. Cindy's dad took the fall for the mafia over illegal liqour distribution charges and was rewarded with a beer distributorship when he got out of the clink. Cindy's dad also helped the mob do some dirty business in the New Mexico horse racing market back in the day.

Why did McCain celebrate his birthday on a Mobster's Yacht?
http://www.thenation.com/images/mccain.j
The photograph substantiates reports that in late August, 2006, McCain celebrated his 70th birthday aboard a yacht, the Celine Ashley, rented by A-list con man Raffaello Follieri and his then-movie star girlfriend Anne Hathaway.
Follieri, who posed as Vatican chief financial officer in order to win friends and investments, pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Manhattan district court to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, eight counts of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering.

“Would the Democrat be worse for the country than McPain?”
Mark Levin said about this topic the other day - he said he wouldn’t vote for Kirk even in the general election, because it would be better to push a failed RAT out there, then a failed Repube ‘stablishment RINO. Probly (sic) some truth in that. We lost the Kirk battle in the primary though - and we need to REALLY focus on the remaining primary battles!
