(CNSNews.com) Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will not campaign for Sharron Angle, the Republican Senate candidate in Nevada running against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), according to a senior Republican aide.
Hes helping Republicans all over the map, but hes not going to Nevada, the senior Republican aide told CNSNews.com when asked if McConnell was going to campaign on behalf of Angle.
In explaining why the Republican minority leader was not campaigning against the Democratic Senate majority leader, the aide said, It's pretty standard Senate procedure for example, Reid didn't go to [Kentucky] to campaign against McConnell

Schumer also said, "Let me say this: We did not go after Kentucky's seat any more or less because Mitch McConnell was the party leader. We went after it like any other seat. We tried to be strategic here and figure out which seats we had the best chance at and focus on them.

We are at WAR. First the NRA backs Reid, now this.
And this is a BAD thing...
Perfect example of the “ruling class”. The country be damned the ruling class comes first. Pathetic.
I am really, really starting to ****ing hate the GOP.
McConnell needs to be retired, too.
These career politicians make me want to vomit.
Camaraderie my butt. This is one elitist helping out a fellow elitist. Both parties need to be taken down!
So much for the “two party” myth.
Traditionally, the seated minority and majority leaders have NOT actively campaigned to replace their counterparts.
Does it really matter to Angle whether McConnell comes and campaigns for her? Is he really a popular figure in Nevada?
2004 was considered an anomaly when the republicans actively went after Daschle.
THIS is why we LOSE! Mitch - WE ARE AT WAR!
Good grief. I need to lie down...
Every day these clowns demonstrate the sane thing to do is to vote out all incumbants. I had a typ there and wrote indumbants. Perhaps I shouldn’t have changed it.
The surest bet one could make is establishment pubs will quietly do and not do whatever makes sense to mute any conservative resurgence. Always have, always will.
I gather Mr. McConnell prefers to be the minority leader. Shades of the GOP of old.
That’s the way I feel about the entire GOP Leadership, they stink and should be run out in January.
Exactly, might be a good thing. Palin and Demint could help tremdously
Imagine, being dissed by an incumbent RINO in this year of the anti-incumbent. Oh, shiver (NOT!)
Thanks, Mitch. The "girls" will remember.
"I'm crushing your head!! I crush your head! Crush crush crush!"
I don’t know, giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe McConnell realizes that his being there will make Angle’s conservative voters angry, since he represents what they’re trying to REPLACE in D. C.
The uselessness, apathy and ineptness of the republican establishment leadership in DC must be addressed! If not run out of office in their next election, they need to be freeped out, harrangued until they leave. The Cornyn/Sessions joint appearance on Sunday’s Meet the Press was a catastrophe! The lack of preparedness was astounding. No direction, no strategy, no answers whatsoever, no nothing! Two deer in headlights during the whole ordeal. Embarrassing, enraging, terribly disappointing, and for that performance they expect us idiots to elect them!
