Having refused to commit themselves to a budget, the Dems will have no recourse to such tricks as "reconciliation", which can only be used in conjunction with budget bills.

This might be interesting.

0bamaCare failed to reform healthcare costs.

Financial Reform failed to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ($700 Billion in new federal support in the last 12 months).

The Stimulus didn’t Stimulate.

We’re still in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Gitmo is still open.

0bama even passed the Patriot Act 2.

And whatever 0bama says has an expiration date on it. Fire her today, re-hire her tomorrow. No private campaign funds today, most private campaign funds in history tomorrow.

If you judge 0bama by his own campaign promises, he’s a miserable failure.

Dodd-Frank is likely to carry on in crippling the economy where the stimulus left off, with its 500 new regulations and complex bureaucracy extending down to the guy who sells toy robots out of cart on the street corner. The effect of regulation and bureaucracy on business is so well known as to have achieved the status of cliché. This bill has added a least another year to the recovery. But that won't bother Obama. Why should it?

The 'Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act' does nothing to address the root cause of our current financial disaster.

The Act is another step in the direction of more government and union domination of all that we do. Nothing in the Act controls Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac--they remain a multibillion dollar drain on the US Treasury--or the financial disasters their corruption and poor management have created.

This bill was used to get unions more control of companies, and to get minorities and women more jobs where they can never be fired. Publicly traded companies will need to allow the unions and enviro groups to seat their members on the boards of said corporations. Also an enlarged staff at SEC, CFTC and the Fed stuffed with faithful and deserving Democrats selected by Chicago style patronage. I can't wait for the minions of Sheila Jackson Lee to be seated on the Board of _______ [you fill in the blank]. God help us.

The bill will punish businesses that are not unionized. That's the purpose of this bill. Now that's change that we can believe in -- NOT! How many more will leave for foreign soil? This DC dog and pony show is getting boring. The Obama administration has done nothing to investigate and prosecute those who were engaged in illegal activities during the bubble years. This picture of Frank and Dodd congratulating everyone on the 'reform' is f'in unbelievable! The two biggest culprits in the original damage to the economy. Why are these men not in jail?

We're in deep, deep economic trouble. And these liberals are going to friggin' sing and dance along, all the way, as they dance off a cliff.

WAKE UP AMERICA

SPEND, SPEND AND SPEND

The sole thing that the stimulus succeeded in doing was to remove three-quarters of a trillion dollars from the working economy, where it could have been used for capitalization, hiring and to pay down debts.

The clueless leading the blind, surely both will fall in the ditch together....

why of course, the liberal mind by nature processes information in a closed loop system.

Even though something makes absolutely no sense, the liberal mind will decieve itself to believe it makes perfect sense

Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Good Post. Thank you and thank you for not butchering the article itself by removing parts.

To put it bluntly, I’m scared...and am considering leaving the country because of the health care issue. Believe it or not I’m thinking of Panama.

Furthermore, I don’t trust the current crop of Republicans to repeal the death panels.

[Believe it or not I’m thinking of Panama.]

We’re moving money to Canada and denominating in Australian dollars. I’ve heard Panama is good, also Chile.

We all have similar worries and only a few places to run.

Believe it or not I’m thinking of Panama.

I'm giving that some thought as well. I've already started interviewing potential employees there. However I won't move unless the Democrats win big in November (in which case the US would have announced itself as irrevocably hostile to business).

So was Lenin. Big deal.

Obama isn’t smart, and his actual program comes from the extreme leftists behind him (Ayers and the gang, still frequent visitors at the WH). But he is incredibly ruthless and is fueled by an insane level of racial animosity which I think has enabled him to ignore any reasonable limits on his behavior. He sees these programs as being destructive of the object of his hatred, the West as personified by America, and he goes to bed every night gloating about having put another nail in its coffin. He runs on hate.

To accept that the war helped the economy is to believe in spending or the breaking of stuff grow the economy, which it doesn’t

Let me ask you, if I break a window, does it help the economy? If you think about it a little bit. A broken window leads to employment for the window fixer, who in turn will have money to buy glass from a factory. The glass maker can then have money to go buy grocery, who helps the farmer. If your answer is yes, then let me ask you. Lets help the economy and break more windows. Lets all go out and break windows to help the economy. Before long, you realize theres something wrong with this “help the economy” plan
