Hunter Signs Amicus Briefs Supporting Arizona Immigration Law
House.gov ^ | 7/20/10 | Staff

Posted on 07/20/2010 2:08:29 PM PDT by pissant

Washington DC – Congressman Hunter has signed two separate amicus briefs supporting Arizona’s immigration law. One brief, written by the Washington Legal Foundation, opposes a lawsuit initiated by the American Civil Liberties Union. The other brief, supported by the House Immigration Reform Caucus, opposes the Obama Administration’s lawsuit to block the implementation of the Arizona immigration law.

“Arizona is moving closer to implementing its new immigration law, but trying to stand in its way are the ACLU and the Obama Administration, which assert that states have no legal recourse to protecting citizens from the dangers of illegal immigration,” said Congressman Hunter. “After decades of opportunity, the federal government continues to ignore the reality that border communities face every day, leaving Arizona no other option. It’s quite possible that other states may soon follow Arizona’s lead.

“In actuality, Arizona is doing nothing more than enforcing the laws that the federal government refuses to enforce itself. What’s ironic is that the Obama Administration is challenging Arizona’s law because it interferes with federal enforcement efforts, yet it has no plans to challenge sanctuary cities for their refusal to uphold federal immigration laws. This lawsuit and disinterest in prosecuting sanctuary cities show that the Obama Administration – like previous Administrations -- has no intention of doing what is necessary to secure the border and enforce the law.”

I wanted to draw parallels to the Alamo but, you being a Texan, I didn’t want to insult.

“Nice to see wee Hunter joining Mrs Palin in support of the AZ action. Albeit he does so several weeks after Mrs Palin voiced her support for that action and appeared promptly with Gov Brewer to show that support.”

Hunter was working against illegal immigration before Palin or Gov. Brewer ever had it on their political radar, much to your dismay. So stuff it.

By the way, “wee’ Hunter did 2 stints in Iraq, including Fallujah, and one in Afghanistan. What the hell have you done, JLA, besides insult anyone who actually wants to protect this country?

Doesn’t ANYone understand that every one of those who dismiss the Hunters or anyone serious (Like Hayworth) about border security and the rule of law are all members of the squatter support squad? They want just another 3rd world dump hole and are no better than Obama. They will ALWAYS oppose the more conservative person and insult anyone who does.

You can send a free fax/email/letter to your reps to join Hunter in this brief.

ALERT! Ask your Members of Congress to join the amicus brief in support of Arizona!
Seventy-nine Members of Congress plan to file a friend-of-the-court brief in support of Arizona’s immigration law. They oppose the federal lawsuit filed against the state by Obama’s Justice Department.

The five Senators and 74 Representatives will argue that historically Congress has encouraged states to assist in the enforcement of immigration laws, and, hence, Arizona’s new law does not preempt federal authority.

As legal scholars have noted, the heart of the Arizona legislation just incorporates federal standards into state law. Ask your Senators and Representative to join in signing this important brief.

ACTION NEEDED

Let your Congressional Members know that you support the Arizona law, and you want them to join in filing this brief. Send a fax or an e-mail by entering your ZIP Code and clicking “Go!”

Yeah, ole pissant lives in one of the biggest $hithole socialist states in the country and worry’s about what is going on in Texas. He needs to spend his time straightening out the mess in his home state and not worry about Texas. We are doing fine with out his input.. But of course he won’t shut up because people like him can’t help themselves. They have spent their lives being meddlesome and pests, aka...pains in the a$$..

You know, pissboy, you should travel down to the border and stop some of those illegals yourself. Though you might set your sights on the small children and elderly women, lest you get your weak ass beat up. “

Why don’t you take your outright lies, and your foul mouth to another website?
