J Street mixes its views on Israel with domestic party politics, and now, before midterm elections this is not the time to escalate partisan rhetoric around a two-state solution.
J Street, the "pro-Israel, pro-peace" lobby, ran its first television commercial last week in the United States. Watching the ad online (it can be viewed via a link on my own organization's website, www.rethinkme.org) confirmed my worst suspicions about this new organization, which likes to portray itself as the "real voice" of the mainstream American Jewish community.
The commercial makes J Street's particular bias quite obvious. It begins with overt political partisanship that seems to focus more on personalities than policies: "While chaos and violence in the Middle East grow, America's chorus of 'no' ignores reality." We see photos and hear remarks by the likes of Joe Lieberman, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Alan Dershowitz, Mike Pence and other spawn of Satan (i.e., conservatives, Republicans and an ex-Democrat ), before an announcer's voice asks: "Do they [Limbaugh & company] speak for you ... or do they?" - at which point the swelling music changes from discordant to melodic, as an image of President Barack Obama appears, intoning the mantra of "two states living side by side in peace and security."

The author pretty much lays it out in the article. Axlerod astroturf.
Given voting patterns of US jews, J Street is the authentic voice of that constituency. Weird but true.
The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.
The text of the Act is broad and is addressed at any attempt of a US citizen to conduct foreign relations without authority. However, there is no record of any convictions or even prosecutions under the Logan Act.[1][2] However, one possible exception may be the Clinton White House which was fined $300,000.
Then Senator Barack Obama directly interfered with the politics of Kenya in a way that usurped US foreign policy.
This is the hope and change that Obama promises to America: racial/ethnic balkanisation, demographic warfare, and violence, just like Kenya.
Below; Obama works his neocolonial magic on supporters of Odinga and the Orange Party in Kenya in 2006.
1 Stat. 613, January 30, 1799, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953 (2004).

The only problem with this statement is that BOTH parties must want that "peace and security" stuff. Israel has proven that it is willing to do so. The arabs and muslims have also proven that the only goal to which they aspire is the destruction of the State of Israel and the subjugation, if not total elimination of Jews, and NOT JUST IN ISRAEL!

Hmm... confused "J-Street" with "Theater J". Is there a difference? Does the Party own the "J" brand? Seems like it, so it's all the same to me.
Sounds like you'll gladly participate in that "not pretty" outcome.
What's coming to American Jews that voted for Obama? Is it the same thing that's going to happen to his Catholics and Protestants? You'll probably spare the latter, won't you?
Good one. Just put this pic up on my site.
Don’t forget to tip the waitress. I got it from Candor7
Problem is, the Jewish people who support Republicans (e.g., joint US-Israel citizens like myself) will be the ones who die because of the idiot liberal Jewish people in America.
That said, I really do think the tide is turning.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

My guess is that AIPAC is closer to that voice on issues concerning Israel and the Middle East. And there are plenty of US Jews, like those here on FR, who think that J Street is anti-Israel just like Obama is.
BTW, J Street's new conservative-bashing ad is likely a response on their part to the (new) Emergency Committee's political ad knocking Pennsylvania Democratic Senate candidate Sestak for his poor congressional record regarding the Israeli security issues.
And if anyone is naive enough to believe that, they're also naive enough to believe that J Street is pro-Israel.
There are some really sick, demented comments to that article.
Wow.... just think about the size of her nose before she had it done.
Yes, I was well aware of that when they first appeared on the scene two years ago. Wonder what they were thinking when they started out and thought up that name.
I've learned to expect that sort of thing in public forums around things like that and especially from the kind of people drawn to Haaretz.
