Didn’t even feel her, here along the Upper Yukon. We went through a 7.9 Nov 3rd 2002, later claimed to be a 8.1; and were right on it. Was kinda crazy when the ground opens up right in front of ya. Half expected to see the devil come jumping out. Thing to remember is you never know which people will flip on out and which people keep it together and take charge. Usually ain’t who you think either, ha.

Not to worry...
1493 km (928 miles) WSW (241 degrees) of Anchorage, AK. 928 miles is far enough away so we didn't even feel it here (I live in Wasilla, about 45 miles from Anchorage).

((((( Eska ))))) I am so happy you replied! The largest state, it’s no wonder you didn’t feel it. Was the quake anywhere near Sarah’s vacation spot of Denali National Park?

The Aleutians are hardly the “coast of Alaska.”

I heard Michelle O’Bell Obama went swimming in Alaska. Wonder if she slipped and fell from eating all the vegetables grown on the White House grounds??

This earthquake was out in the Aleutians, almost a thousand miles away from the Anchorage area. Pretty standard “Ring of Fire” activity for Alaska.
