Indianapolis - As many as nine people have been shot in three separate incidents downtown.
The first shooting occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Maryland Street near Illinois. Numerous shots were reported near the intersection, outside Circle Centre Mall. Police scanner traffic indicated a potential suspect running on Maryland Street after the shooting. Five people were wounded in the shooting and police have a person in custody.
Minutes later, another shooting was reported over police radio at Georgia and Meridian Streets. Metro Police Lt. Jeff Duhamell said three people were shot in the second shooting.
According to radio traffic, the shooting victims include a 16-year-old who was shot in the buttocks, an 18-year-old shot in the lower leg and a 10-year-old who was shot in the thigh. All victims were transported to area hospitals, two in serious but stable condition. Lt. Duhamell said none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
"We've had minor problems, but tonight is just a very unfortunate situation. You're talking thousands and thousands of people down here and just two or three people cause all this problem," Lt. Duhamell said. "Things were going real smooth, then the unfortunate situation happened."

Bush’s fault!
No tea bags sighted.
I know of many Asian festivals on the US West Coast but I have yet to hear of any that resulted in violence like this.
I personally think there is something wrong with black culture nowadays. I remember about a decade ago there used to be a hip-hop nightclub in Old Sacramento but too many incidents of violence outside the club (and the inability of the club management to stop that violence) resulted in that club's closing, much to the relief of other retailers in Old Sacramento and the Sacramento City Police!
Bump!

It is on the form - question #8.
GCA68 and most subsequent gun control bills were intended to address the recent phenomenon of “urban crime,” not penalize the vast majority of law-abiding (white) gun owners. The purported goal has always been to keep minorities from shooting each other.
But as it turns out, that’s a fairly tricky problem to solve - especially if you’re afraid of offending the twin rev’rends and removing thugs from the gene pool.
