AZ Senate Debate Last Night: Who Won? (Vanity)

O.K., I've tried all morning to get the pulse of last night's Arizona GOP Senate Debate, with little success. Found one article but "copyright complaints" prevented me from posting it here. I checked C-Span's website. Doesn't seem to be any re-runs today or tonight.
So, Freepers, from what you've seen, heard and read, who won last night's debate? From what I gathered, Deakin fumbled badly; especially in his closing remarks. Sounds like J.D. got some good shots at McCain's hypocrisy. But....
I dunno. Comments anyone?

JD is the absolute worst guy to run against McCain. He has a lousy record, pro earmarks which McCain isn’t and he did those ridiculous ads for “free money” from the government.
In fact I can’t stand him. I would vote McCain if I lived in AZ.

“I just read on Open Secrets that 60% of McCains campaign contributions have come from out of state.”
Geez, do you imagine the RNC is blowing it’s wad on that loser?

Do Arizona a favor; write to McCain and convince him to move where you live, then you could vote for him and we’d be rid of him.

All politicians take money from contributors. And just about all politicians have someone donate to them that turns out to be a crook at some point.
McCain isn’t pristine on the subject. He takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors. It’s just luck of the draw that one of them didn’t fall out. And when you look at his intervention on behalf of Keating, one of them did. John received the most funds of anyone from Keating. John was very fortunate not to have been kicked out of the Senate. He failed to report gratuities for over seven years as required by the House. Still, no punitive action was taken. I think the scrumptious nature of having a Lefty like McCain in our midst, was too great a thing to pass up. The Left needed his help. He has certainly given it since.
Did J.D. provide quid pro quo for the funds from the problematic donor? I haven’t seen that suggested. McCain did.
Is J. D. as pristine as the driven snow? Of course not. Is he the letch McCain and his countless minions have portrayed him to be, no. Not hardly.
J. D.’s biggest mistake was participating in that commercial for free government funds. It was a philosophical mistake though. It looked bad. It wasn’t borderline criminal though. Compare that to John joining Kennedy, Kerry, Feingold, Lieberman, Terresa Heinz Kerry, the Tides Foundation and other Soros entities, George Soros... I mean comparing Hayworth to McCain is like comparing your dad to a very bad man. It just doesn’t fly.

JD's infomercial was stupid and JD apoligized for doing a stupid thing. At the time McCain started running his negative ad about JD's infomercial, it was found out that McCain himself had a link to Government Grants on his Senate web site. When that word started getting out...mysteriously (or not) that link disappeared from McCain's Senate site.
JD was NOT a congressperson when he stupidly did the infomercial, but ole Johnny Mac sure as heck was when his site linked people to go get Gov. grants! I may be wrong but in my book Gov. grants are also taxpayers money that McCain was pointing the way for citizens to get their share of the "free" money.
And as for JD and his pork/entitlement spending, there isn't a single Congressperson, incl. John McCain, that doesn't sign on to pork/entitlements with every Bill they vote for and McCain's pork/entitlement spending, through Bills, outweighs JD's spending 100 times over.
If McCain, as he so often says these days, is a leader that can get things done, then why in his 26+ yrs. has he not been able to get rid of pork/entitlements in Bills! It's his no. 1 cause next to amnesty (by any other name he chooses)and he has gotten exactly nowhere! Some big time leader he is.

I don’t know about the RNC, but a lot of people from Florida, New York and California are contributing (as well as a lot of small donation all along the east coast). I was amazed at the amount of money he has collected and spent. The fact that JD is even in the race with that kind of heavy money being thrown against him is stunning.

Anyone who would make a garbage comment like the following is no conservative, and needs to be zotted:
[from a Washington Post hit piece on JD Hayworth]"...the only Tea Party candidate with a history of hosting fundraisers in lobbyist Jack Abramoffs sports skyboxes....been enthusiastic legislative earmarkers, or voted for the Medicare prescription drug benefit, or supported the 2005 highway bill, which included the bridge to nowhere?
Poster 'Once-ler' opined:" This is all true. Conservatives Freepers don't care as long as JD hates mexicans.
