Suck in that gut and start working off that muffin top midriff. The nervy Marxists who run our lives have given themselves the power to decide who is and who is not too fat to receive government healthcare benefits. Under a new law signed by Obama our medical records will include our height and weight and our Body Mass Index (BMI) to determine if we are obese by government standards.
BMI will be part of our permanent electronic health record and will be available for inspection with appropriate security measures--on a national exchange. In other words a clerk (union member of course) who was hired because he or she was otherwise unemployable could look at our private medical records and stamp LARD ASS on the folder jacket.
This change wont happen right away. These things never happen overnight. The plan aims to have all of this in place by 2014 in time for the Death Panels to use BMI to ration health care made scarce by Obamas Socialized medicine scheme.
Cloaked in the official sounding name of electronic health records and hidden in the 2009 economic stimulus law, this plot requires health care providers to practice what these newspeak artists call meaningful use of electronic records.
In order words your doctor or any hospital .., you go to, will be required to establish a BMI for you so it can be used in determining your future.

Presumably with a straight face, General Brown explained the need for such paternalism by saying BMI

Should Obese Kids be Put in Foster Care?
Posted by Neil Katz
(CBS) Should morbidly obese kids be put in foster care? It’s a provocative question, but that’s exactly what a group of health care specialists on the other side of the pond are recommending.
Their logic? If children can be removed from a home because of health risks like physical and mental abuse or failure to care for health problems like asthma or epilepsy, why not a long term health risk like obesity which can create a life long struggle with diabetes and heart problems.
