U.S. Sen. Harry Reid has opened a strong lead over Republican opponent Sharron Angle after pummeling her in a ubiquitous TV and radio ad campaign that portrays the Tea Party favorite as "too extreme," according to a new poll for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The Democratic incumbent's aggressive strategy of attacking Angle's staunch conservative views from the moment she won the June 8 primary has cost her support among every voter group -- from men and women to both political parties and independents -- in vote-rich Clark and Washoe counties.
"He's had five perfect weeks," said Brad Coker of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, which conducted the survey. "The race has been all about her, and he's been doing a good job of pounding her."
Yet Coker said it's too soon to write off Angle. More than one-quarter of the nonpartisan swing voters who probably will decide the Nov. 2 election haven't jumped to the still-unpopular Reid but instead are undecided or in the "other" or "none of these candidates" columns, the poll showed.

it would be a travesty to see this criminal re-elected
Once Angle reminds voters of what Reid has done and said over the past few years, the results will turn 180 degrees around.
His % hasn’t gone up a bit
Imagine if ole harry (not caped because he doesn't deserve it) lost when the polls said he would win. That would be sweet. . . .
Polls are but a snapshot in the moment
The only poll that counts is on election day
When does “once” become NOW!
he’ll lock it up unless he’s down by 20%
count on ballot stuffing and illegal voters from the SEIU
oh, and felons from MN as well I guess
Poll is of “registered voters”.
She needs money to do that. She has about $1M. He has about $9M.
Rasmussen Reports -- Tuesday, July 13, 2010: (Angle 46% Reid 43%) "The survey of 750 Likely Voters in Nevada was conducted on July 12, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence."
Angle's poll numbers didn't crater in a couple of days. It comes down to pollsters -- and which pollster is more accurate. Rasmussen has a slightly larger sample size, but more importantly, he has been very accurate lately. I wouldn't call it a bogus poll, but I would bet my $0.05 on Rasmussen.
Imagine...Harry Reid calling anyone an extremist.

Angle raised $2.4 million from 5/20 to 6/30.
As much as these start-up candidates may have the views to win and so on, they don’t have the experience or political infrastructure to come out swinging against someone who has 19 years experience playing extremely dirty.
It’s like a high school football player all of a sudden trying to beat someone not only in the NFL, but who has a whole NFL team supporting him and has been to several championship games before.
It is painfully obvious that Americans have short memories and are very stupid.
There are more than 3 months left before the election. A lifetime in politics.
Angle was on Cavuto this week. I know her views are right, but I don’t know what to think about her presentation.
Reid needs to go. But will he? We know he is going to cheat.
It’s weird how the good news dingy comes at a critical time, when everybody else says Democrats are losing. And it’s just the right message, she’s an extremist. Then I wonder what the people of Nevada figure dingy is all about, as their state’s economy has been destroyed by dingy’s leader the economy wrecking ball, our jug eared jackass.
Does anybody know if it’s true or not? Probably just another liar’s push poll.
I would be surprised if unemployment has improved, from the nations leader in unemployment, but you never know what the liars can dream up.
