The NAACP has passed a resolution that condemns what it feels is rampant racism in the Tea Party movement. Members passed the measure on Tuesday at the organization's 101st annual convention in Kansas City, Missouri.
Tea Party activists have swiftly denounced the action as unfounded and unfair.

‘Its amazing how the most racist organization in the country, the National Association for the Advancement of COLORED people, has the nerve to call others racist.’
Second most racist...you forgot about “La Raza” which advocates taking American territory for Mexico. I’m sure we’ll see a “Tea Party is Racist” resolution from La Raza any day now. :-P
The only good news is that for every minority person this drives away from the Tea Party, it will probably attract several white people, disgusted with the leftist, racist status quo in this country. I strongly believe there is FAR more racism on the left than there is among true conservatives. We tend to judge based on character, not skin color.

This is based on the provably false allegation that someone spit on a black pol. at a Tea Party gathering. But they totally discount the vicious, hateful words (kill crackers and their children) which was proven when shown on video tape.

NAACP again proves their cluelessness.

This whole “racism” business probably originated with Axelrod and the White House, and was picked up by the Democrats’ flunkies-hi, Chris Matthews-in the media. Now it’s going to be spread by this “One Nation” conglomerate of left-leaning groups.

The “rampant racism” is buried deep inside the NAACP’s fabric . . . and has been for decades. The more the MSM media panders, the more dysfunctional the organization gets.
With this kind of “leadership” mindset, it’s small wonder the communities are in such disarray.
And getting worse.
To: Kartographer
I take this as a slander. I support the goals of the tea party movement. The NAACP is only looking for more Federal largesse.

all tea party factions should pass resolutions denouncing the NAACPs racism. They would love that.
Then they'd say, "Tea Parties all over the country have proven their racism by denouncing black people."

".."After observing Tea Party activities throughout the country -- which culminated with the outrageous and racist behavior of Tea Party activists during the historic congressional vote to pass into law comprehensive health care legislation -- the NAACP began more closely investigating the Tea Party. Specifically as it was reported to us that Tea Party activists spat on [Congressman] John Lewis, a veteran civil rights activist and associate to Dr. Martin Luther King, and called Congressman Emanuel Cleaver the 'N-word' and called [Congressman] Barney Frank ... one of the first openly gay members of Congress, the 'F-word,' " Shelton said..."
I never saw any video where Cleaver, Frank or Lewis personally claimed to have been called anything, let alone and video of them being called anything. Video Cameras were everywhere. It is a lie.

All I can say is that that biggest sweatiest warmest, most beloved hug I have ever received in 105 degree heat, was at the Ft Lauderdale tea Party, from Lt Col Allen West, who led the Day.
