A man was killed because he was destroying merchandise. Items are more important than life.I'm just curious, was he destroying the unidentified stuff with his gun? Whoever called the police, fictitionalizing the customer's actions, should also be held responsible for the loss of Erik's life.

I'm looking forward to viewing the store videos. I bet Costco will claim camera malfunction.

I will wait to see the video of the destruction before I consider that a fact. So far, we only have a clerk’s word that destruction of merchandise was taking place.

And here’s the thing there are no customers who were witness to him “tearing up the place.” (i.e. it’s an unsubstantiated accusation.)
I’m guessing that the videos, if released, will be QUITE damning of the Costco clerk AND the police.

They said that he was destroying merchandise and was carrying a gun. What part was fictionalized? Clearly the police overreacted here and ought to be charged, but I didn’t read where someone lied to the police about the victim.
