The man shot by police outside a Summerlin Costco store on Saturday was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a master's degree from Duke University, friends said.
Army veteran Erik Scott, 39, was at the store near Charleston Boulevard and the Las Vegas Beltway with his girlfriend before three officers fatally shot him in a confrontation.

Reports from multiple witnesses contradict the official police report, and one of Scott's relatives is giving a very chilling narrative of what happened:
Scott apparently had a Concealed Carry License and was legally carrying. Some liberal Costco employee reportedly saw he had a gun, freaked out, and called the cops reporting a gunman loose in the store. He seems to have been attempting to surrender his handgun, which the cops interpreted as him pulling out his weapon and opened fire.
Let’s riot!
Eric Holder’s Justice Department will not rest until the guilty policemen are brought to justice.
The police sound like thay may have committed a homocide.
Looks like it might be a while before a reliable report on what really happened comes out. Right now, no one knows what really happened. Too many conflicting reports.
Like my daddy always said.... “You can be right. You can also be dead right”.
Maybe Obama will say that these police acted stupidly and bring them and their victim to the whitehouse for a beer.
Yeah this is my costco, I go there all the time. I also CCW in there.
I had no idea Costco was so anti CCW.. but I suspect this was a nervous employee who called the cops and shouted “Man with a gun”
There were reports he was “trashing the store” which I find hard to buy because eye witnesses say the store manager came over the loud speaker and told everyone to evacuate, yet no one knew why. Had the guy been freaking out they would have known.
The other report I heard from a witness of the event, was he just walked out, got shouted at to “drop it” and when he made a move to get the gun out of the holster so he could drop it they opened up on him.
Costco has cameras all over the place at this location.. so it should be interesting to see if we will ever see the videos.
I just found on that this WAS my cousin who was shot! He was a West Point Graduate, never been in trouble, was an officer in the Army, and had a concealed weapons permit in Nevada. The story I've heard from friends of his girlfriend have told us that a store clerk saw that he had a concealed gun, told him he couldn't have it in the store. He replied, "sure I can I have a concealed weapons permit". The clerk apparently overreacted and called the police that he was some kind of crazy person which ended up in over hyped police that shot him while he was trying to comply by taking his gun out of his shirt to place on the ground as they asked as he was leaving the store. Please anyone who was at the scene and witnessed any of this tragedy please contact me at robert@lavelock.com we may need your help

Really? And you know Scott was gay how?
Witnesses offer differing accounts. Cops all say the same thing.
They wouldn’t have rehearsed their stories, would they?
Nahhhhhhh
Read the entire account. Seems Costco bed-wetting Liberal saw gun, told police a mad man was running berserk in store. Cops came and shot the guy without provocation. The cops and the bed-wetter need to go to prison for a long, long time.
Funny how that always seems to happen when a cop's a$$ is in the crack, ain't it?
It shouldn't be too hard to figure it out between the witnesses and security cameras. Costcos generally tend to be wired with hundreds of cameras from all different angles.
Had he actually been dangerous, there would have been a lot more collateral damage than just him. The store better have videotapes to support what they say was going on inside. It just doesn't add up.
This should be all over the news, on every single station.
Handy way to intimidate and dissuade citizens from carrying if being seen with one leads to them being terminated with extreme prejudice by the police...
>>The store better have videotapes to support what they say was going on inside.<<
You can count on it. I expect you could piece together every minute the guy was in the store from all the camera angles.
If there is no video available, that would be the most damning evidence against the cops - and Costco.
Another example of out-of-control Fascists posing as police.
If it was costco there should be security cameras covering every minute, will the police be honest about what is on those tapes? I remember growing up in Texas in the 70’s no one got freaked at the sight of a gun. A local department store had a bb gun turkey shoot for kids. My bb gun was very authentic and looked like a real rifle and I walked to the store all the way through town and when I walked into the store none of the customers even blinked. Guess they’d gun us down now. People would take guns out of their cars and on busy parking lots and look them over no one called police. Every pickup had a gun rack in the window. So many people now are wimps total wimps!!!
