It was nothing more than a two-minute self-promotional spot, a campaign-style production that any candidate with a little cash and a capable consultant could splice together, yet Sarah Palins newly-released video managed to drive cable news television chatter and blazed across the blogosphere Thursday.
It was a remarkable display of forceand one that almost no one else in American political life can replicate.
The spot, scored with upbeat music designed to underscore Palins message of conservative female empowerment and the idea of a grassroots awakening, may not be enough to rehabilitate her polarizing profile in time for a 2012 presidential bid.
But the effect reinforced the notion that she remains perhaps the most electric force in the Republican Party, and suggested she is taking steps to professionalize her approach and solidify her role as the conservative movement's most prized endorser and fundraiser.
The slick web video marked a departure for Palin, who until now has primarily relied on a small group of advisers and pursued a mostly ad hoc political approach since her resignation as governor. She delivers the occasional speech and sometimes lectures the media via Twitter and Facebook tactics which play well with some on the right but which are out of sync with the global profile she enjoys.
But in recent months, by lending her support to a group of successful female Republican candidates, the former Alaska governor has established herself as a GOP political queenmaker. And with Thursdays video, she moved to cement her image as the country's leader of conservative women, leading a stampede of "pink elephants."
All of it seems to indicate a level of strategic thinking among her and her small inner circle that hasnt always been apparent.

That’s ‘cause Huckabee is all Frumked up.
That video is AWESOME..the left are scared to death of this woman because she is gonna knock Obama off of his throne that the media made for him. Don’t believe she can’t beat Obama in 2012..hell yeah she can because if she couldn’t they would be begging, pleading with her to run, instead they try to destroy her which has failed miserably. She can beat him and she WILL..but first 2010, let’s take back the house and senate from those marxist bastards
Oh thertainly not!
:-)
Your’re RIGHT!!!! I stand corrected.
*rolls eyes*
:-)
While Sarah Palin provides the narrator the video, it actually celebrates women in this political environment.
IMHO, everything is simply going as planned...
I saw a thread the other day where all the posters were comparing their degree's they received from college. And good for them!
But I think Palin would be one to say, "I have no degree, but I've got an "Honorable Discharge" from the U.S. Army, (or any other service).
.....Just sayin...
One of the most overlooked aspects of why Sarah Palin is in the crosshairs of the Obama war room, the Far Left and the MSM currently and has been actually been in their sights over the last 23 months is Palins high-tech savvy to utilize 21st c techology (the Internet, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, blackberries, cell phone etc.) in a very effective manner to get her message out and to raise money, If there is one thing I know about Obama, he doesnt like to compete with his opponents on a level playing field, and there is no way he wants to compete with someone in 2012 who is as high-tech savvy as he and his team are. McCain and his team were in the dinosaur age compared to the Messiah in 2008 with their use of modern technology. If Palin gains the GOP nomination in 2012 you will see a completely different campaign imho than was run in 2008.

I agree with you that Sarah is one of us, and that’s why her message resonates. She understands how we feel.
She does have a college degree: B.A. in communications/journalism, 1987, University of Idaho.
LOL. Yeah, righto. I'm dying to spill the beans, but I will wait to let SoCalPol give her report after the doings in San Diego next week.
I've been told that she quit, she ran away and that it was all too much for her.
You mean to tell me that she resigned to prepare for a possible presidential run?
;)
*Wanders off muttering*
