Stay alert to those who are promoting the idea of Sarah Palin to replace Michael Steele at the RNC. This is an attempt to derail her nomination for the Presidency. There are some out there in the conservative blogosphere that believe the MSM line on Sarah Palin. When they promote the idea of her replacing Steele, they are really saying that she shouldn't run for President.
We may need to hit the nail hard with the strongest hammer we can find. Stuff her down their throats. But we are going to get her the nomination. She deserves the nomination. And then we can unite in time to take back the White House.
Good grief, Democrats etc. voted for a guy 1) they knew nothing about, 2) isn’t a Natural Born Citizen, and 3) is a corrupt Chicago thug.
And you think PALIN is unelectable???
Well one thing is for sure, Obama sure changed the standard of “electability”.
Perhaps because the best possible ad they could run (and will) is that she has less experience than Obama (the arguments of which are debatable but not in a 30-second sound bite). It would ruin our argument that he lacked the experience to be president and proved to be inadequate to the task.
Why on earth?
She should be very able to regurgitate and defend the GOP talking points. She did a fine job of regurgitating and defending McCain’s claptrap. She deserves a medal.
“I”d like to remind Chairman Steele that they actually do come that big in white.”
That’s your opinion. I think she would be great as RNC chair as she would make a great President. However she isn’t running for President nor will she be running for President. There is zero indication she will run. Therefore she would do well as RNC chair.
Palin is quite busy building a fortune. She is absolute gold. She is a king maker without having the baggage of any party.
Malarkey.
Sarah Palin was the Chief Executive of one of our 50 states, and did a magnificent job during her time in office.
She worked her way up the political ladder as an outsider, and without any help from the establishment Republican machine. At every step of her journey to the top of national politics, she has always displayed an uncompromising degree of personal and professional ethics, as well as the ability to LEAD in a conservative manner, using conservative and timeless American principles to guide her.
Sarah Palin has more leadership ability than any ten other national league Republicans put together.
The people see the quality of her character and have responded to her in unprecedented fashion. No other political figure on the national stage can pack a house, or command attention like Sarah Palin can.
She is without question, our best and brightest hope to take the helm of the presidency in 2012, and to begin reversing the disaster of the Obamination.
Most Americans of good conscience already know this, and will back her to the hilt, should she declare her intention to run.
Those of you who sit behind your keyboards carping on her, and endlessly repeating the Democrat attack points against her are showing the rest of us where you really stand.
I don’t think thats true. I think if she comes along with a conservative message and keeps it simple, she could win. She has a chance. She has to keep it simple.
She can connect with people. She is the small town girl who represents an America where you know your paper boy by name.. and you don’t have to buy a Broadview Home Security system to keep your paper boy from breaking in. She represents an America where if you don’t have the money to buy something, you just don’t buy. And you work hard for every penny you get.
She represents the best of America. What America should be..
I grew up in a small town too. Believe me..when I was young. In hot summers like this. All I needed was as a ball glove and a lawn mower. Thats America. You have to work for it.
Wrong on both counts. Only an Obot or a Romneybot would say that.
Tell us....who's your daddy?
Good point. Look, 20% of US Voters say they are Liberal, about 40% say they’re Conservative. That leaves about 40% that are Independent, Green, Libertarian, Nazis and whatever-the-hell-else. It’s pretty simple math - you can’t win the Presidency unless you attract those in the middle who are not ideologues. Obama convinced the independents he was the better choice, although he’s beat feet hard to the left ever since - and guess what? He’s lost ‘em, and won’t get ‘em back.
All Sarah Palin (or anyone else) has to do is deliver a strong conservative message that is palatable enough to a sufficient number of Independents to win. Simply being “not-Obama” won’t be enough to win, but by 2012, it’s sure going to help as more Obama voters come to the realization they might have been fooled once, but never again.
Who's "everyone else", Dog? The hopeless Obots who would never vote for her, or any other Republican?
Most people on the center-right love Sarah Palin nearly as much as they loved Reagan.
So, who's "everyone" in your world?
DC would be my first choice. I’m afraid he won’t consider it; he pulled his load for a long time and deserves the rest.
As for Sarah’s chances I would just note that no one (except God) would have picked David to lead and become King of Israel.
Stay alert to the possibility, people who pile on this way, may not have good motives.
Just saying...
Seems a lot like the Mittens are rearing their carefully-groomed heads once again.
She'd be even more fabulous as President of the United States, and might even straighten out the mess that Zero and the Socialists have gotten us into.
Conversely, Steele represents some of the worst aspects of the GOP's go-along-to-get-along defeatist attitude. He has a track record as RNC chair of not improving the party's position (gaffes in media appearances, using his position for personal financial gain, and other questionable decisions such as the party's convention location selection) Frankly, I don't consider him a good spokesperson for conservatism, nor do I consider him a good advocate for republican victory anywhere. He does not inspire.
If the GOP will cease to be the party of "nice guys who finish last", he would be turned out in favor of a more appropriate leader in a heartbeat. Sarah is one of those possible candidates, but not a silver bullet or the only candidate by a mile.
The only reason to keep Steele is exactly why the GOP is in the position it is in right now. "Well, he can be voted out in January when he comes up for reelection to the chairmanship. If my calendar is correct, is after the November elections, which if they go well will bolster his position for reelection and if they aren't a landslide victory for conservatism, will fail to serve the greater purpose of restoring both adherence to the constitution and the public's faith in government.
The goal is for conservatives who believe in the constitutional limits of government and the rule of law to win, win big, and keep winning every single election. Maybe Sarah Palin wouldn't be the best advocate for that position (though I think she would do a fine job), but does anyone serionsly believe that Steele can inspire others toward that end?
You really know how to gag an audience.
Did someone hijack the FR website?
This is weird, what’s with all the Palin-bashing.
Very odd. Is Obama turning conservatives, self-destructive?
