I think it would be the best job for her for the next few years.

I am really disappointed in Steele. I supported him at the beginning and even for a long time with his numerous gaffes.
I’ve had it. He needs to go now.

I would much rather see Sarah running the RNC than running for President. Having said that I'm pretty dubious about these rumors.

I aplaude this!!!! She would place order in the RNC that is desperately missing. We need leadership in all areas and she will get this issue resolved quickly.

I think not.
I wish to vote for her, but I’ve no interest in funding the RNC.

I don't think there should be any change at the top right now.
The GOP is running strong pre-election right now. Steele's words are already a non-story and we have had plenty of nincompoops as RNC Chair in the past.
Whatever Steele says he is NEVER going to deflate conservative turnout at the polls. Obama is the one driving people on the right to vote. Steele has nothing to do with it.
To: pissant
The head of the RNC needs to be a true blue conservative, an excellent speaker, intelligent and well informed and one hell of a fundraiser!
Possible candidates:
Newt Gingrich
Sarah Palin ?
To: pissant
On one hand I don’t much care what the RNC does any more than I care what the DNC does but, In this case Gov. Palin would be at home and would bring a huge amount of respect to the position and fear from the opposition.

I doubt the GOP has the balls to do that.
If Palin wants to run for President, this doesn’t seem like the best platform to do it from.
To: pissant
I’ve started wondering if Steele was really a one man DNC sleeper cell all along that wasn’t activated until he became the GOP chairman. How else does one explain his mush-for-brains comments since he became chairman?

My sources tell me Palin will be chair of the RNC within 24 business hours.

I have a feeling She is the enemy to powers at the RNC....they have got to be the most out of touch group around. To them it is all about money and numbers. Even the DNC has it together compared to them.

What GOP circles? I doubt the establishment GOP would ever consider Sarah Palin. We think she’d be perfect but the establishment GOP...she scares them. HA

Like Mr. B suggested on the “almost duplicate” thread,
Let Sarah decide Steele’s replacement when the position becomes available!

No way! Not over this! This is Obamas chosen war. He and his asshole buddies ripped Bush over Iraq declaring this is the war we should be fighting. Now over half our casualties have come during Obama’s reign, it is his war. Biden is already trying to take credit for Iraq which is Bush's victory while Afghanistan is turning to shit.
