In todays Jolt, theres a roundup of Arizona immigration law and Kentucky Senate race news, but also an update on that huge story that I try to feature at least one item on in every edition . . .
The Oil Spill Wont Disappear, but Discussion of Obamas Response Might
You thought I was being silly with this one-item-on-oil-every-morning rule, huh? Oh, Jim, the oil spill is one of the biggest news stories in years. Theres no way it will disappear from the front page. Well, there was nothing about the spill on the front page of the New York Times on Tuesday. (There was a bottom of the page story on Wednesday.)

I’ve noticed that too.
You don’t here much about it anymore.
Imagine what it would be like if Bush was still in office.
The Lamestream Media gets in lockstep with their idol.
After Obama’s “plug the damn hole” didn’t work, the LSM lost interest.
The oil spill fight is up and going, press advoiding the stories from here which mean we have two fights, the oil and the Federal government. Sickening....
That’s OK...the TOADY Show can fill 4 hours with missing children stories, fashion advice and summer grilling tips. Obama screws up any more and they’re gonna have to start covering missing black kids, too.
seems to me the last month or so there has been a cap on most news stories relative to b4 that.
Else interest has just dwindled to its lowest in a long time...alinsky knew what he was teaching the pvnks...
They may have successfully “capped” the story with the MSM but it’s still alive and well on the internet, talk radio, Fox and up close and personal with millions feeling and smelling the effects. They will never be able to cover this up. The effects are far too reaching.
The media has a short attention span for anything that doesn’t involve hot chicks, eventually all stories fade away, no matter how much they shouldn’t. The oil spill will become one of those once a month “bad things still happening” stories, then it will fade to once a quarter, and after that it’ll hit the news equivalent to People’s “where are they now” column rearing it’s ugly head every two or three years.
I was just thinking this same thing this morning. I know the spill is still going on and is turning up in various places, but only because I have read local reports posted here. You wouldn’t have any idea that it was still a problem if you read only the national news.

The jerk in the WH is too busy working on a recess appointment and spy trades. Utter nonsense. Oh and his golf game, not the gulf shores.
You don't have to imagine. Just remember what it was like after those Abu whatever prison photos were released. That was like 90 days non-stop above the fold lead in material.
“Dinosaur Media launches its fleet of skimmers, ensuring a clean-up of the oil news; no film at 11.”
Oil Spill? It mustn’t be too bad, or we would be hearing more about it. /s
