To be honest, there is a part of me that says he will win again in 2012. I see the Republicans taking control of both houses of Congress in November and then obstructing almost everything the Dims and 0 try to do for the next 2 years. The Dims and 0 will do what they always do...run to their trash friends in the media and cry about how they aren't getting their way. The media will buy into it, of course, and spoon feed this line to the American people. There are 5 primary factors I would look for after we take control of Congress: 1) What do the Dims and the regime do between November and January 2011; 2) What will the Dims propose/Republicans obstruct in those 2 years; 3) How bad do things really get; 4) Will the media/American people truly and wholly wake up; and 5) How short of a memory does America have?

You just cracked me up.
To start with Obama is a true ideologue while Bill Clinton was an amoral political opportunists. Bill Clinton had some hard headed political realists advising him, Obama is surrounded by sycophantic fellow travelers. So no “tack to the right” by Obama.
The alternative media was in its infancy in 1996. Other then Rush Limbaugh there was almost no alternative national voice to the Establishment Media. Also, the Internet a “fad” know primarily to the avate garde of the computer techie community.
The other thing to remember is the economy had significantly improved by 1996. We hit a 5.5% unemployment number in, I think, May of that year. People were feeling a lot more hopeful in 1996 then they were in 1994 so there was a “Don't rock the boat” mood with many voters.
Obama will have no such boost to help his numbers since everything they are doing in DC these days is designed to be a jobs killer.

The Department of Justice apparently doesn't think the voter intimidation at the polls in Philadelphia by the Black Panthers merits any further attention. Perhaps they haven't seen the video of the same Black Panther who was at the polls also calling for white people (crackers, as he so eloquently put it) and their babies to be killed. The DOJ had actually already won the case and was preparing for sentencing when suddenly the case was dropped. Huh? Glenn has the disturbing audio on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
