Should illegal immigrants be allowed to stay in the U.S. if they admit breaking the law, register with authorities, pay taxes, pay a fine, and learn English?

Done! It’s running 50/50 right now.

Just voted. Still 50/50.
Can I please rob a bank, appologize, pay taxes on what I stole, and keep the money?
It is still 50/50 right now. Wonder if a fix is in. Need to keep pinging this.
I’d guess that the 50% who voted “Yes” can’t read English.
Well 50% of CNN lookers anyway. I never go there unless it damages them somehow. CNN must cease to exist.
Well, you obviously speak our language.....do you promise not to do it again?
We need to deport or imprison ALL illegal aliens, including their anchor babies, seal/secure the border and SHOOT anyonw who tries to re-enter illegally. It can be done.
That is a very good analogy.
Seems stuck...still 50/50.
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
As long as they are never allowed to vote. Naaaa...sent them all packing back to tacoland
I'd like to see this question directed ONLY at those immigrants who've entered this country LEGALLY, learned English, have their kids learn English and attend schools, obtained jobs, paid their taxes, and are proud of their new country.
Wonder what the percentage might be with that group?
Further, I don't know why the conservative news outlets do not hold interview after interview after interview with these wonderful new citizens asking them their viewpoint on "illegal immigration".
Most of them won’t agree to pay taxes, I’d wager. This “path to citizenship” stuff is just a ruse. Get their SS/Medicare/income taxes. And give them SS#s so they can track them. Most illegals aren’t going to like that, because most of them aren’t here because they want to become citizens. They are here to work, send money back to Mexico and then, someday, go back to Mexico. I’d say the “path to citizenship” is only going to appeal the very few. It’s a band-aid for a gushing spill. It won’t work. But they will probably succeed in trying. Knowing this bunch, it’ll be the law before November. But hopefully they won’t be citizens by November, and won’t be able to vote-—oh, never mind.

You can still vote but the count doesn’t change.
