Where was our news media? Where was our president and congress? Why does the official move from Washington go against American private citizens and their guns, and not an all out war against the drug cartels using fully automatic military weapons, hand grenades, launchers and machine-guns? Why is the president pushing for an international gun law that will bring registration and finally gun control to we American citizens? Who is for free and lawful American citizens? Where are our statesmen? Where are our patriots and where are champions for the Constitution and freedom and safety of American citizens?

This is not a false cry of Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is already ravaging the sheepfold. Until now we are acting like sheep and are in great danger of losing the greatest treasure on earth: freedom and opportunity for us and our children and grandchildren. .

Thanks for the source: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/w/weapons-Mexio-raid.htm. I didn't know of that site, and it looks like a good one.

The raid was conducted on May 11, 2010 by elements of the Mexican Army after the discovery of an organized crime drug smuggling camp 56 KM (34.8 Miles) south of the city of Monterey, Nuevo Leon in Mexico. Monterey is a large industrial city approximately 140 miles South of Laredo, Texas

It's still cold comfort that this raid, and the organized paramilitary drug cartel that belongs to this cache, are camped out less than 200 miles from the Texas border, rather than on the Arizona border.

It looks to me that this may be part of Mexican revolutionary action, not border stuff... but who knows?

Which is exactly why both parties are leaving the border open and trying to convince Americans to look the other way. They'll let the Zetas have their drug profits, for fear that cutting them off will lead directly to a Mexican revolution and a Hugo Chavez-style government - complete with Al Qaeda training camps - on our southern border.

They fear starting a small war now to stop this would require the USA to fight a much bigger one in the near future. Whereas maintaining the status quo - however unpleasant the consequences for a few border-dwelling Americans who might have to "take one for the team" - saves the DC elite from their worst nightmare: having to kill little brown people by the thousands in a world ruled by political correctness and UN condemnations.

Don't expect Republicans to make any significant changes - GWB was 100% on board with the status quo, only in part to defend his family's relationships with the Mexican elite. It's the "Our SOB" philosophy again.

I had it here, basically in Monterey.

May 11 is not exactly old news and it is absolutely the Gulf cartel.

Not good folks. Not good at all.

Actually, Governor Perry attempted to mobilize the TNG on the border several times and was blocked by the Feds. (Operation Rio Grande).

And he didn't ignore them because? Do you really think that if he issued orders the units wouldn't move?

I wonder if this group is the reason parts of AZ (Roughly 3,500 acres of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge) — were recently closed off to US citizens because of violence.

Yes. They needed a new area to camp, as their old ones have been raided (see pictures at link).

Not good news indeed. My friend in DHSS-CBP who just came back from the border says they were shot at but couldn't shoot back because of the "rules of engagement" our guys have to follow or lose their jobs. DHS has sent their "SWAT" teams (my term not theirs) down their to protect our ports of entry. What he told me is the Mexicans who are muleing the narcotics North are doing so partly for the money and partly because the cartels will torture and kill their families if they don't. They are in the position of making money, or, if unsuccessful, getting themselves and their families tortured and killed.

By the way, it's obvious that all those fully automatic M-16's and the RPG's were bought at US gun shows. /s

Looks like they bought a bunch of arms at an overseas US Army surplus sale. Or perhaps they bought from S. Korea or another loose ally that had the need for cash.
They got 'em from the corrupt members of the Mexican Army who got 'em from the US gov for their end of the WOsD.
