The BP disaster was obama’s “3 A.M.” emergency phone call that was talked about during the campaign. He basically just hung up the phone and went back to sleep with a grin on his face.

It seems that when he finally woke up his version of crisis mode was not "how can I help" but "how can I use this to advance my agenda"

“Never let a crisis go to waste” seems to be an operational mandate for these leftists. IMO they purposefully are making matters in and along the gulf worse in order to further their anti-America agenda.

If this perspective could make its way into the public conciseness, either with graphics and or a time-line* of events, perhaps more people will realize just what this person is is all about.

So far the MSM has diverted much of the blame away from their marxist messiah. His poll numbers are dropping but IMO not fast or far enough.

Why did it take 70 days before they asked for help from foreign skimmer ships?
Why did the Coast Guard order barges back into dock in Louisiana?
Why have Governor Jindal's requests been denied?
Why is the president not on this 24/7 with shirt sleeves rolled up on the phone in the White House (like JFK during the Cuban Missle Crisis, looking engaged and concerned) and actively locating all 2000 skimmer ships to requisition and get them out there cleaning up the biggest environmental disaster in American history??? Pronto. Not tomorrow, not next week, not in a month, or six months from now.

Instead, while all of this was going on and no one knew where the skimmer ships were, he went on vacation, he golfed, he went to a Nats game, he schmoozed and partied with Paul McCartney and other liberal pop stars. If this is the leadership, judgment, competence, and demeanor that a Harvard Law degree confers, he should ask for a tuition refund.

As evidence of his care and commitment to the environment, he has allowed foreign vessels to help in containing the spill in just 70 days.

For you braindead conservatives, 70 days is a very short period of time for a constitutional scholar and community organizer to accomplish a real objective. Sure, Bush relaxed EPA fuel regulations and suspended the Jones Act prohibitions to allow imports of gasoline and diesel within hours of Katrina’s devastation, but he was a doofus. Bush did not contemplate his actions with the thoroughness of a community organizer and constitutional scholar. Consequently, Bush did not balance the public interest (i.e., unions, environmentalists, politicians, and the opinions of the MSM) against the consequences of immediate fuel shortages in the US. Nor did he form a commission of environmentalists and politicians and await their report before acting to avert immediate and severe fuel shortages. Rather, Bush just acted to alleviate their prospect. Had President Obama been in office at the time, he would have had the wisdom to seize the opportunity to use the crisis as a means to teach Americans to use less fuel. Instead, Bush enabled Americans to continue driving the SUVs.
