1. The real mystery is why a high profile figure like Gore, with a multitude of political enemies, would ever allow himself to be placed in a possibly compromising position in the first place.
No matter how pure,rightious or innocent you are; being alone in a hotel room with a woman other than your wife has the potential for scandal.
If in fact his need was for a regular/non-sexual massage, in his hotel room, it would be common sense to have another person in the room, either an aide or a hotel employee.
2. It is highly doubtful this was a one time error in judgement or moment of weakness. It is far more likely that it was a pattern of infidelity, whenever he was traveling withou his wife.
3. My guess is that in the next week or so, other “victims”/ potential Gloria Allred clients will be surfacing. I think this story is getting ready to take a “Tiger Woods” turn.
Reminds me of the chick who paid a late night visit to Mike Tyson’s hotel room——then cried rape all over the TV.
At one point of my misguided middle age, I was one of those people that spend more than 100 nights a year in a particular hotel brand. I would get “VIP” treatment everywhere I went: Upgrades to the best suites, free gifts in the room, and I had been told that they would be happy to provide me with whatever I needed.
There was never any implied illegal, prostitution, or anything like that. It was more like “you are an important client, and we will do what we can to make you happy.”
The few times I asked for anything (a special meal or room change) they hopped on it. I am sure if I asked for a massage past the time it was listed in the services directory, I would have gotten it.
And, the one time I complained, it was made up to me with the presidential suite on canal street in NO for a week—at the single room rate.
I miss those days....
My guess is that somewhere during that evening there were many bottles of wine consumed.
The other thing is that some of these guys are just used to getting what they want because they want it. And this guy has been on the gravy train his whole life.

I would like to be able to “miss those days!” As a musician, I’d sleep in the van just to save money. But,,, being a musician, I did get a lot of “massages.” And I miss those, uh,,, days! Oh for a young chakra!
We are in total agreement on this part... Gore is a jerk. But he's also a long time politician who knows the liberal/feminist position on "no"... probably better than most NOW members. So it's curious. I'm not so much giving a judgement on this issue as wanting to have questions answered... or at least asked.

While I agree that Gore is likely to know the feminist position he's also a politician and a democrat one at that, which means he's accustomed to preferential, almost royal treatment and almost certainly expects it. No is something said to others, not one of the elite.

I think the front desk misunderstood Gore’s request. He asked for a masseuse, but really wanted a prostitute. The lib at the front desk believed the myth of his happy marriage and sent a masseuse, a real one, not the prostitute he wanted. Karma for his chakra. lol
