Another child star grows up, to the shock and horror of fans everywhere.
Give me a break.
Apparently, Perez Hilton tweeted a doctored photo of Miley Cyrus that suggested she was not wearing underwear. Predictably, ABC pulled advertising from Hiltons website over the scandal. Hilton has since tweeted other photos, generating more buzz and faux outrage over what has become a standard rite of passage in the entertainment business.
Miley Cyrus has been a very successful child star/pop singer. She is 17 years old. One assumes that she wants to continue a career in show business and transition to more adult roles. She tested the waters last August when she did a little pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards and then seemed to kiss a female dancer during a performance of Britians Got Talent a few weeks ago.
We are witness to the unfolding of a coordinated media strategy to generate buzz about the almost legal Miley Cyrus, and it is working like a charm. Its a win-win situation. Perez Hilton gets interviewed and has numerous articles written about him. Fame is fleeting, but when youre up, youre relevant. And when youre relevant in the entertainment business, you can sell ad space. The buzz is good for Miley Cyrus, too.

Who is Smiley Cyprus ?
The next Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan.
I stumbled across one of her concerts on TV. I’m no prude, but good grief....very short outfits, provacative poses, etc. I really felt weird even watching it...kept thinking Chris Hansen would walk in the room.
She isn’t that great a singer anyway, so I kept channel surfing...
Just blows me away that her father is her ‘promoter’...and any ‘blooming flower’ publicity run up to her 18th birthday has certainly been approved by him (maybe its his idea).
here's a clue people.....you can't have it both ways....
Why does Miley give him the ammunition? She feigns innocence ... but she is anything but.
Those who negotiate the trail successfully, and it's not a lengthy list, don't usually do it by adopting the vulgar route.
daddy dearest was a big Clintoon promoter...and doesn’t he profess to be this good Christian??.....for crying out loud....I hate what our society has become...
Let’s face it, he is a talentless, borderline ugly, flaming maricón. To put it bluntly: a joto. He has no skills and a big mouth. And no sense of decency whatsoever. He earns his living by acting as a parasite on those who are famous, some of whom do have talent, including minors. A decent society would have ridded itself of him long ago.
The best way for parents to avoid media and Hollywood celebrity fascination with their children is to find them a real, live role model of their gender. Veterans who can tell stories are great.
Importantly, parents have the role as parents, so don’t fit in as role models, usually until children have grown up. So the role model should be from outside of the child’s experience.
This also means that the child’s expectations need to be challenged. So parents need to find out what they think are typical jobs for their gender, and to see people who do extraordinary things, from the child’s point of view, for their gender. Again, this is why military people are so interesting to children, because they have little idea about what such a demanding line of work and service entails.
Granted, to fit in with their peers, they will need to know *about* the current crop of media faces. But having a real role model puts such ‘faces’ into perspective as “entertainment”, not as people to emulate.
Sicko here (Perez Hilton) thinks otherwise...
"Perez Hilton [judge in the Miss USA pageant]
is known for his flamboyant and outrageous behavior"
You don’t need to make bad things up about Miley, she does enough on her own.
her parents let her take her shirt off for Vanity Fair.
That should tell you everything you need to know about them and her.
Daddy claims to be a Christian?
Wasn’t she 15 when they let her take her shirt off for that picture?
The future does not look promising for this poor girl.
Would not surprise me to find Billy Ray and Perez exchanging text messages.
