Reports Finds Negative Correlation Between Immigration And Education Levels
Liberty Digest/ CIS ^ | June 15, 2010 | Personal Liberty News Desk

Posted on 06/26/2010 8:36:49 AM PDT by AuntB

A new report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) has found that California has the least-educated labor force of any state in the United States, and this may be due to the high levels of immigration in recent decades.

According to the study, 9 percent of California’s population was comprised of immigrants in 1970, but by 2008 it was 27 percent. Forty years ago, the state had the 7th most educated workforce of all U.S. states in terms of the share of workers who had completed high school, but by 2008 it ranked 50th.

The researchers now estimate that one in six workers in the Golden State have not graduated high school.

The report, titled A State Transformed: Immigration and the New California, concludes with the warning that without a comprehensive immigration reform and enforcement, other parts of the country may follow in California’s path.

CIS has also defended the new Arizona immigration law against critics who claim that it could lead to racial profiling of minorities, saying that the law stipulates that police "may not solely consider race, color or national origin" when implementing SB 1070.

It also pointed out that when the state’s governor, Jan Brewer, signed the new law, she also issued an executive order requiring additional training for police officers on what does and what does not constitute "reasonable suspicion."ADNFCR-1961-ID-19830954-ADNFCR

YES it does win elections, but stupid begets stupid, and no matter Left, or Right the results are disastrous over time.

One of my points is the lack of foresight of the Leftists whom will in the end be forced to back off of their assault on commonsense politics. Those idiots cannot foresee, as they are mentally incapable of doing so, therefore put us in peril until that day reality smacks the bastards in the face with the facts.

Did you hear about the whooping cough epidemic in California?

I love that they don’t mention illegal immigration as one of the reason there is an epidemic.

There are some really nasty illegal immigrant diseases spreading out there....from the flesh eating disease all the way to historically-extinct classical afflictions. We need to round these people up and remove them from our midst.

The two of them were on FOX and Friends the other morning yapping about starting businesses and highly educated immigrants, and doctors. Do they really think that is what is coming across the border by the millions? What do they think will happen to this country if you give 30 million illeterates amnesty?

You beat me to it. I must have been working on my post when you made yours.

Unbelieveable.

I know my kids are up to date on their pertussis vaccine, but I don’t know about me.

There are so many reasons why illegal immigration is wrong.

What do you use? I think everything is C/C++ now, and has been since I quit working as a software engineer 15 years ago.

We've exported most of the jobs we need to keep all levels of society working. The liberals decided that everyone should have a college education so they could go for the remaining high tech jobs, problem is not everyone has the intellectual power to handle the needed education. The liberals believe that if momma has an IQ of 70 and daddy scores a 75 Jr. should pop out near the MENSA level. It could happen, not very often though.

You can take a real dummy with a working memory, and program them full of sound bites. They can then be tested and produce the desired answers. So can a 20 buck tape recorder from Walmart.

The liberals know that their system is flawed, they know that we are getting stuck with a permanent non functioning underclass, the welfare system is their answer for this, and the goal they've set now is to force the shrinking balance of society to pay the costs.

This is sort of a rant today, too much on my mind for any coherent attempt.

America should just adopt Mexico’s immigration policy.... Problem solved.

The two of them were on FOX and Friends the other morning yapping about starting businesses and highly educated immigrants, and doctors.

This is a standard deception technique in academia. They talk glowingly about "immigrants" with words that legitimately describe legal immigrants but leave the impression that they are talking about all immigrants.

Politicians and liberal academics are similar in many ways.

I think this could happen if momma has an affair with a rocket scientist.

I primarily use Delphi (RAD/Object Pascal), though I’m moving to Ada. I REALLY like the forethought that was put into Ada with its packaging structure and it’s “do as much error-checking as possible as early as possible” mentality. {From a production-flow standpoint this is obvious, the earlier some defect is discovered the cheaper it is to fix; patches are the software equivalent of “recalls,” and efforts should be made to minimize the amount of products you make that have to be ‘recalled.’}

I think that for general Windows-PC programming I may end up using Delphi for the GUI stuff [which it excels at] and [linking in] Ada for the core functionality stuff.

As for stuff other than C/C++, I believe that Cisco programs its routers with a LISP-family language; Ada is used in real-time & critical applications (like control software for nuclear reactors and flight-control systems). From my understanding Prolog seems to be enjoying usage in the sciences for purposes of modeling.

Immigration of the right people can be a really good thing for society. In fact bringing in talented, educated, skilled, and useful immigrants is a wonderful thing. Sadly with our system we make it too hard for those people to come in and allow millions of criminals, leeches, thugs, and ghetto rats. California is exhibit A of the consequences of that.

And add to that the fact that the USA used to be a melting pot, where people would come here to become Americans. Today, every illegal alien is coming here to just make a bit of cash, get what they can for themselves, and bring some of their homeland along with them. The "diversity crowd" has led to the balkinization of the USA, where entire communities can't communicate with their neighbors.

Right, as in that article in the LA Times about people waving the Mexican flag during the World Cup: one man interviewed said as much, he was only in the U.S. to work and Mexico was still his homeland.

"This is why CA is broke." Silly things like this also contribute...even with the economic crash in Ca, this is still going on.

CASH for elderly illegal aliens.

Not to pick nits, but I don't think that it's a minor point - it's the actual, underlying motivation of it all.

People make a terrible mistake when they allow themselves to believe that the Gulag [& the Holodomor, etc] was an unfortunate side effect of Marxism, when in fact the Gulag [& the Holodomor, etc] is the PURPOSE of Marxism [or Socialism, or Liberalism, or Nihilism, or whatever you wanna call it].

Their goal is to DESTROY the society.

Until you realize this, nothing makes sense.

After you realize this, everything makes sense.
