Exactly. I am over 40 female and childless. I am not ugly nor have I had abortions, there are ways to avoid becoming pregnant without using that! Have also been happily married to a great guy for 24 years.
Not everyone in the world is fit for parenthood, and many folks in the past who had kids “because it was expected of them” made their children (and themselves) miserable. However, we are still subsidizing the production of litters by those who REALLY shouldn’t be having children, and certain religious groups also work to encourage such people.
