Arizona Senator Jon Kyl has confirmed, Arizona is, in fact, on the border with Mexico. Kyl sent Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West a letter in which he says, "You will be interested to learn that Arizona does indeed share a border with Mexico. I have enclosed a map for your convenience." Kyl goes on to urge West to, "actually read the Arizona law before forming an opinion about it." West appeared confused about Arizona's location during debate about a measure that would have had the county boycott the state over its controversial new immigration law. She said, "If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border." RELATED CONTENT: Senator Kyl's Letter West did continue to talk about troops on Arizona's border. She later explained that she meant to say Texas had a longer border. "Had Texas come out with the legislation, having the largest border, I think that I would be more receptive to the fact that there was a problem. But having it be Arizona, having it be the second largest boarder and knowing there are troops on the border in Arizona, it didn't seem to me that this legislation was particularly necessary at this moment in time," West told Newsradio 620 WTMJ. The county sent the measure back to a committee.

Good one!.....
Can you imagine being her poor husband this morning, waking up to her finding out she is the laughing stock of the entire country, even on liberal stations like MSNBC.
lol. That lady is a hot mess. Funny Stuff. and Kudos to Kyl for stomping on this one.
Nice try on the clarification there Ms. West but we’re not buying it.
Public schools, anyone?
LOL, I just heard Kyl sent her a map.
Supervisor West grew up in Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Human Services from the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Prior to her election to the Board, Supervisor West worked for 10 years in the human service field.
Supervisor West is currently Chairwoman of the Health and Human Needs Committee and is a member of the Economic & Community Development and Finance & Audit Committees.
Active in her community, Supervisor West was named the 2004 Hispanic Woman of the Year by UMOS, Inc.
A committed believer in community service, Supervisor West volunteers for UMOS, Inc. and Mexican Fiesta and serves as a mentor at Notre Dame Middle School.
I heard her voice on the radio, and she sounds like a dumb 15-year-old who must have been writing notes to her boyfriend instead of paying attention during geography class.
I am not so sure Democrats can read maps, or the writen word for that matter.

Another community organizer and just as stupid.
Yeah, it’s really hard to say you misspoke when you say that Arizona is “far removed” from the border. Admit it, Sweetheart, you had no idea where Arizona is. And you DO know that the troops on the border are not allowed to actually DO anything, don’t you.
You must have one really, really, stupid district if they elected you. And they’ll border on morons if they RE-elect you.
I’ve known people (usually female...not to be sexist though) who, due to a lack of spacial understanding, just couldn’t read a map....
“Supervisor West was named the 2004 Hispanic Woman of the Year “
My impression is that education may not have been a terribly important qualification for this office. She evidently did have the “correct” ethnic background, however, which too many times is all that matters these days.
First of all, this is a weak lie... but even if she means it, at least Texas has the Rio Grande as a natural barrier, you ditz. Arizona’s border is just dirt.
LOL!
Outstanding!
Don’t we all.
I still married her, though...
But I do the driving.
