. . . requires welfare recipients to sign a pledge that they will use their benefits only to meet the basic needs of their families.

WOW, that is really getting strict!

Instead of just banning use of casino ATMs, the Governor should require a check of casino winnings against welfare rolls before payout. IDs that match are subject to confiscation of all winnings and loss of welfare benefits. Lottery tickets too.

Well when Michelle Obama worked the soup kitchen a few weeks back it seemed every customer had a cell phone camera to get their picture taken with her.

I don’t know why this stuff surprises people in the press. Anyone who lives a middle class lifestyle in this country sees this all the time.

Dang it! Busted again. Might as well forget the Indian
casinos and start driving the extra 60 miles to Reno.
Last time I left “the biggest little city” I should
have told them “Awl be bock”.

Schwarzenegger Bans Welfare Cards At Casinos (issues an executive order)

How insensitive can Schwarzenegger be?!? Now those welfare recipients that want to gamble away their benefits will have to stop and get their money before they go to the casino. If they run out of money at the Casino, they may have to...Gasp...walk across the street to use an ATM. That may seem trivial to you and me. But to many welfare recipients walking across the street is akin to you or me running a marathon. They haven't exerted themselves that much in years. Why it could cause heart attacks and stroke? Schwarzengger will have blood on his hands!

Oh...this is sarcasm in case you didn't guess... :)
