Maybe your instincts should have told you to read the 78 page police report.
She didn’t wait three years to report it. She was a 50 year-old woman who had spent years building a good business reputation in a high-end hotel market where younger MTs were clearly doing “favors” for the people who would send them business. She didn’t tell the front desk what happened because they had already expressed gushing admiration for Gore and the woman was afraid she’d lose her livlihood if she caused any trouble.
When she got home, she called her best friend to tell her what happened and much to the woman’s horror, the friend told her she should get over it because Gore was one of the “good guys” and was doing so much for the environment.
After several months of what was basically Post Traumatic Stress experiences with other clients, she was pissed that the Gore encounter was causing her so much distress. At that point, she went to the police.

She spilled it two months after it happened. Police did squat. Paper had the story and spiked it.
Now he’s divorced. Somebody got the story and ran with it.
That’s the timeline.
Hell, she bagged the evidence, and the cops wouldn’t have it.

1. She is a masseuse and goes to a VIP’s hotel room at 11:00 PM for a massage. What could possibly go wrong?
2. He OBVIOUSLY is looking for sex, and makes innumerable oafish suggestions, direct statements and blatant gestures to this effect from the very first moment she walks in the door. Think Austin Powers “Do I make you randy?” She stays.
3. He asks for massage of the abdominal, gluteus, hamstrings, quadriceps and adductors. Ohmigosh, he’s such an important man. She proceeds.
4. Al wants to make sexy time. “Lower,” he says.
5. She stays.
6. Al in effect begins to manhandle her.
7. She stays.
8. There is a happy ending, hence the pants.
9. Weeks to months later, after she consults an attorney, attorney sets up appointment with police for interview. (Pretty sure that in Am.Jur. Proof of Facts it says that in a case for damages for sexual assault, it’s good if there’s a police report.) She breaks 3 appointments with the police, and the case is closed. She says she will pursue the matter civilly. The only available civil remedy is $$$.
10. THREE YEARS LATER she shows up again at the police and reads a lengthy, lengthy prepared statement which I will summarize as follows (based on reading about 10 pages): “I am not a hooker, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). Really.” It’s full of pseudo-professional jargon disguising the actual nature of the transaction, how licensed, trained, experienced highly professional LMT’s handle clients who want to make sexy time (very professionally, in case you’re wondering), and literary embellishments offered to put lipstick on the pig. Ultra-ultra-ultra defensive rationalizations about why she did what she did instead of just walking out, and minute excruciating details of her every thought and emotion, of which there were like, at least a gazillion.
9. After 73 pages of interview transcript, Police do nothing with it because they know it is impossible to get a conviction on her ridiculous story.

I suppose there's a pretty good reason why Clinton chose Gore to be his running mate twice. Pervs of a feather flock together.
Now I'm not defending Gore in this, but didn't this "massage therapist" think of what might happen when she went to a man's solo hotel room at 11:00 pm to provide "professional services" for him?
