The best advertisement for FR, yet. Obama may just regret this move.

Does this fool really think he can out smart the people of this country..If the democrats do not speak up then we are goners..There will be no elections Obama will stay in charge until he runs this country into the ground literally.. No elections means I no longer will be bound by the laws... and many, many more will feel the same way. Big trouble for them if they try that.

I lost Free Republic on the Air Force Systems about five years ago. The Navy appears to have been more lenient.

I had a lot of trouble using the site from my house on Sunday and Monday. If his screen says page error that may be all it is.

Even my own cousin saw something about this on fox a few weeks ago, and posted a similar thing. We who work for the Navy have dealt now with these PC issues since 2000. A lot of sites are blocked, but FR is not one of them. You can even post on facebook at many commands. There were a bunch of posters who explained what it was but the kneejerk was to blame Obama.

Ahh...Social Networking sites were banned for the military months ago. Free Republic will now be considered a 'social' networking site; you know like face book, my space, twitter etc. FR is just like them. /s

Is he stateside?
I’m not sure what that would indicate...others mentioned the shut down over this past weekend and the site is still not 100%. But the social networking ban was issued...it may have been for only those in middle east though.
It’s enough to make people jumpy isn’t it?

Bandwidth. The pipe is only so big. If you’re at a command with a lot of people on line, something will get bumped. The military loves video conferencing and that takes lots of BW.

Perhaps his command, but not the Navy. A number of us on this thread are using Navy assets, and are still on FR.
