Troubled former New York Giants superstar Tiki Barber claims he is broke and unable to pay the divorce settlement demanded by the mother of his four children after he was axed from NBC's "Today" show, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
Barber -- who ditched his wife of 11 years, Ginny, for 23-year-old blond former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson -- claims his career is in tatters and that he has taken a huge financial hit since his estimated $300,000 NBC contract ended.

This RC recognizes the culpable party in these situations, my best to all of you having to endure this kind of pain.
Cry me a river.
Another promising career ruined by strange.......
I think Ann was referring to the circumstance of single motherhood, and not a specific individual. Certainly it takes (at least) two to make a single mother, and our society has made that circumstance much more acceptable, or even celebrated than it has ever been before. I think Ann's criticisms were levelled every bit as much at legislators who passed no-fault divorce laws, vulture lawyers who profit from the break-up of families, a media culture that glamorizes infidelity and sexual libertinism, and runaway dads as they were at moms who deliberately or through the exercise of loose morals and poor judgment, put themselves in that position.
This just in... Kent Brockman reporting--
Asked to critique iowamark's comment, Steve McCroskey says, "Look's like Tiki... picked the wrong day to give up fame, great wealth, a wife and four children, all for a hot, young sweetie!
Film of the hot, young sweetie in a string bikini... at 11!
Maybe he can get into advertising like Michael Strahan to make some extra scratch.
She looks a bit worn in this photo:

Hottie! Not that I condone what he did, just sayin’....
I lost all respect for Tiki when he dissed Manning to become a “sports personality”. That show is the most depressing football show on TV. I refuse to watch it. Tiki is one stupid individual.
NFL running backs don’t typically have very long careers, but Tiki Barber was a star - he made enough money during his NFL career to retire and live in comfort for several lifetimes. The NFL and the player’s association really need to put together some courses on finances for these guys.
I’m sure her parents are so proud.
He’s a true Skunk, that’s for certain. He had a great job, a beautiful Asian wife + 4 Kids and he blows it all off for a 23 year old hottie.I hope his wife has the best lawyer around, as he has certainly earned the right to be poor for a long time to come.

Tiki Barber Banned From Delivery Room; Ginny Barber Gives Birth To Twins
05-28-10 08
Once again, Tiki Barber got stopped in the red zone.
While the football great was in the hospital when his estranged wife Ginny gave birth to twins on Monday, he was reportedly banned from the delivery room.
Just last month it was revealed that Tiki had ditched his wife of 11 years for 23-year-old former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson, the family’s babysitter.
The names of the twins have not been released, but a spokesman for Ginny said, “Ginny wishes to thank everyone across the city who has offered their best wishes.”
The spokesman would also only confirm that Tiki was at the hospital, and not in the actual room at the time of birth.
According to the New York Post,
“Things with him and Ginny are still very difficult. He is still refusing to give her the settlement she is asking for, and is offering a lot less,” a source said.
“They are still in court over money and over custody. He did see the baby girls after they were born, as Ginny understands he needs to be a huge part of their lives, and she wants to make sure they are taken care of.”
Actions have consequences, so many know this and yet fail to heed.
The former football great was hit with divorce papers yesterday, just the latest in the fallout from news that he has been cheating on his now very pregnant wife for months, if not years.
Barber is reportedly living with his much, much younger mistress Traci Lynn Johnson, a 23-year-old former NBC intern.
Barber’s own affiliation with NBC was sidelined in the wake of his marriage scandal.
And while Ginny, who is 8-months pregnant with Tiki’s twins, has been in the hospital for a week, Barber has been seen squiring Johnson all around town and was spotted at the NFL draft.
******
Tiki, who already has two sons with Ginny — A.J., 7 and Chason, 6 — is now shacked up with the sultry Johnson in a Midtown love nest.
When ducking out of that apartment and into his car yesterday, Tiki refused to answer a reporter’s questions and only flashed a grin when asked whether he had recently spoken with his wife.
Ginny Barber is also outraged that Tiki has been low-balling her in out-of-court negotiations over financial support, a family friend said.
“Tiki refused to give her anything close to what she needs,” the friend said. “The reason she filed is that settlement talks didn’t work.”
The divorce action was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court and accepted by Tiki’s matrimonial lawyer on his behalf.
The Post revealed this month that Barber, 35, had dumped Ginny after 11 years of marriage for Traci, whom he met two years ago when she was still a student at Mount St. Mary College upstate.
Barber had been working as a correspondent for NBC Sports and the “Today” show until he was benched by 30 Rock brass after The Post reported on his dalliance.
Sources have said that his and Traci’s torrid romance began even before Ginny, a former fashion publicist, became pregnant with twins last summer, and that Tiki has lavished Johnson with expensive gifts, clothes and dinners.
What a dumbass. He gave up 5 years of his career because he wasn’t having fun or something. Now it’s too late to go back. He will have to hope he gets network gigs the rest of his life.
