General, ABC News has reported that you were disappointed in your first meeting with Obama after he was illegally installed in the White House. Well, we, the American people, will be even more disappointed if you do not uphold your oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and confront this usurper who is like a cancer on our nation. Or are you part of the corrupt military establishment which has carried on this national nightmare in which our republic is systematically being destroyed?
You have a choice. You could assume the distinct honor of demanding the arrest of Obama and all of his illegitimate cronies tomorrow. You could use this opportunity to save America, or you can continue to play along with Obamas pretense of eligibility and authority because it is the easy way out. Which will it be?
Which will it be, General?

This is a pivotal time for McChrystal and America. Let's hope he does the right thing and that the rest of the Pentagon back him up!

Biden forever
What part of "and all of his illegitimate cronies" did you not get?

General McChrystal is an obama voter, and in my opinion, deserves jail for treason.

Yea a military junta that would work....some of you are delusional. The general had a Patton moment(s). Let’s not coronate the guy a saint, he acted like a jackass and even he admitted as such. He will be fired and the Obama attack machine will begin destroying him. He should have resigned and then said what he wanted.

No coup d’etat!
No junta!
If you go down that path once, it keeps on happening, and sooner or later, the generals don't bother putting civilians in office.
The remedy is coming in 2010 and 2012. Vote the jerk out.

Let's be logical here. McChrystal isn't going to throw a 30+ year military career down the toilet. When all the dust settles he'll be lucky to be allowed to retire. The regime is very sensitive to criticism, to say the least. The Chicago thugs we have in charge will get their revenge on McChrystal. I haven't seen the Rolling Stone article but it sounds like he sounded the alarm on what we have running the war. It's up to the media to follow up and start exposing the lack of leadership here. Given their slavish devotion to Soetoro, I'm not holding my breath.

I can't say anything good about Obama.
But McChrystal was out of line. Generals do what the politicians tell them. If they don't like it, they can resign, and then they can write a book. While you're wearing the uniform, you don't bad mouth the leadership. Even if the leadership is [sigh] Obama.

Nope. We have a clown in the White House, no doubt. But - like it or not - he is the Commander in Chief. When that order breaks down, we will not be the USA ever again.

The RS article wounds the General, Obama and anyone else for staying in Afghanistan.

If the wording of the following oath is still in effect, an officer does not have to follow the POTUS’ orders:
“I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.” (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)

When you read the article McChrystal and his staff will come off like a pack of frat boys. He had his chance to stand up when Pat Tillman was killed but he took a pass. I think it is way past time for him to go.

Who has called for that? Congress would be involved in the transition from the Kenyan regime back to Constitutional government.

I can't say anything good about Obama. But McChrystal was out of line. How? Where? What? Please give me a quote from the General from the article.
I read this article cover to cover .... and had I read the article without this media firestorm I would have dismissed it as another liberal rag dissing a military leader.
Please...what did I miss? What did McChrystal say that was "out of line".
Thanks.

Perhaps Lindsey “JAG” McGrAmnesty can provide an opinion.

The American people (including McChrystal) elected Obama. He's the president, and McChrystal's commander-in-chief.
You have a choice. You could assume the distinct honor of demanding the arrest of Obama and all of his illegitimate cronies tomorrow.
There's no honor in engaging in banana-republic tactics that make a mockery of the concepts of democratically elected leadership and civilian control of the military. Obama is a disaster as a president - but he is the legitimately elected president and policy differences do not justify coups. Your solution would inflict far more damage on America than Obama is capable of. Vote the guy out in 2012.

>> While you’re wearing the uniform, you don’t bad mouth the leadership.
Define leadership.
Does leadership equate McCain with “dead fish”, or Palin with “lipstick on a pig”?
