McChrystal knew what he was doing. He knows this is a career ender for him. I think he’s sounding the alarm in a very public way. In his own way he’s keeping his oath to the constitution. He is a patriot.

He is going to crack hard on Obozo after he leaves the military.

In that article McChrystal acknowledged that he voted for Obama, so he's no patriot. That makes him a flaming @sshole whose poor judgement makes me question his ability to tie his own shoes.

Huh?

He VOTED FOR OBAMA - he's not the brightes bulb out there.

When he saw Obama was creating another Viet Nam, he started to reevaluate his admiration for the thug. What he should do, is RESIGN and NOT APOLOGIZE - THAT would be a “patriot”. Instead the worm is apologizing for truth.

I think he did it to save our troops!!!

If he is removed and the same ROE and same tactics are used after he leaves I would expect him to be very vocal against Berry and Gates!

Poor berry his life of partying and golfing are coming to and end!

"McChrystal knew what he was doing"

I agree. The Rolling Stone piece will be around for a long time. Any other means of communicating his concerns have apparently been exhausted. Anything he says after resigning or being fired would be twisted by the REGEIME. We know what happens to one-on-one talks in the Oval Office... McChrystal comes out the loser in that venue. anything he says can be denied.

I think he got the focus right where he wants it to be..On Obama.

Then why is he doing the weasel appology dance? Why did he vote for Barry. I question his judgement.

"McChrystal knew what he was doing. "

Does not look like it to me. In fact, I find it pathetic that he now extends a profound apology. Either don't do it or stick to your guns. This was more like a dog barking from behind a wall. Don't forget also that he had voted for Obama and said today that he has "admiration" for him. That did not have to be a part of apology, certainly if he wanted to "out" Obama as you suggest.

Looks more like a cheep hot-shot behavior of a general who acted like a tsar in his neck of the woods, thinking himself superior to everyone in sight, and simply forgot his limits. Now that he was reminded of what he actually is, he begs forgiveness.

That was my thought. These guys don’t make general without knowing the political ropes.

“In his own way he’s keeping his oath to the constitution. He is a patriot”.

...if it’s true that he voted for Obama, then I would disagree with the patriot part. McChrystal voted like he was casting one for “American Idol” and that’s unforgivable. He’s either completely in the dark on history and economics or he knows plenty about the two and prefers Marxism. I believe it’s the latter of the two and I believe he’s a total a-hole for throwing his country under the bus!

The information was out there prior to the election. If McChrystal voted for Obummer, he get zero respect from me.
IF he really did vote for Zero, then he is not a patriot.

I’m not convinced that McChrystal has done this knowing that his career will end. He fired the aide who scheduled the interview, he took the interview in the first place with a rag that might not have had good intentions. He has also apologized for his remarks. If he had done this on purpose with the thought that it was a career ender I don’t believe he would have apologized or fired the aide. This has still not run its course so his intentions and the results are yet to be seen.

He should require BO to prove his orders are legal.
