they could have partied in college and become teachers and never worry again....
Medicare payments cut again yesterday, its all intentional.
I’m sure a lot of baby boomer docs will figure out it’s time to retire rather than work for Baraqqi wages and pay Baraqqi taxes.
Then “unexpectedly” there will be a doctor shortage.
It’s to show that there IS A GREAT NEED FOR HEALTHCARE REFORM!!
[/Conspiracy]
I hope it would still be possible for doctors to continue an entirely private practice. Guess that isn’t the case. :(
We’re going to be seeing more and more of this. Count on it.
Perhaps not officially.
My doctor told me this week that he may have to cut staff. He said it may come to patients seeing a physician practitioner before some one will see a medical doctor.
Way to go OBummer!
You got that right - they DO work like dogs and when people complain about the GOOD doctors, I get hot. What job requires you to wake up at night from your sleep to solve a health problem? Everyone you touch is a potential candidate for suing you. You work with medical support that has now sunk to a new, uncaring, selfish and unqualified level to do their jobs. The in-fighting in nursing is a disgrace. If only people knew!!! As for being a teacher...my god...who wants to scream and be screamed at all day by a bunch of spoiled rotten kids with parents that do care what they do.

There is an American clinic in Panama - think it’s Mayo and there is another big American clinic scheduled to open in Costa Rica. The care is above and beyond any you can get in the USA for a huge reduction in price
If your a primary care doctor in private practice why the he!! would you remain in business when the obama admin supports ILLEGALS and basically are dumping 20-40 million of them into the health care system.
Come on MAN!
I’m curious. Did she vote for this?
Doing to medicine, what was done to manufacturing.
Obama’s answer;
You want loans for med school, you do time here during and after.
My OB-GYN is moving out of his office as of next Thursday, said he’s moving back to his family in Illinois. Back to searching for a doctor again.
My cardiologist told me months ago he will probably quit when Death Care takes effect. I don’t know if his partners will continue without him, but he plans to bail out. I’m guessing he’s maybe my age or a little older (50s/60s). I can sympathize with his plight. He might as well get out while the gettin’ is still fairly good.
What will probably happen also is, not only will we have a shortage of doctors, but the ones who will be left will be substandard at best.
