"I apologize for using the term 'shakedown' with regard to yesterday's actions at the White House in my opening statement this morning, and I retract my apology to BP..."

"I regret the impact that my statement this morning implied that BP should not pay for the consequences of their decisions and actions in this incident."

So I just called Rep. Bartons office. THey said Barton was made to apologize by leadership. He did not want to. THey said there is mis information out there and Barton will clarify in time. They said I should call leadership, anyone have a number to the abyss. grrr.
Usually I hate it when people do this, but I’m going to do it now.
Read my tagline.
The Republican Party had a chance to make a profound statement about an out of control ‘administration’ and its equally profound disregard for the rule of law.
But no. We have to be nice to the Baraqqis.
Disgusting and disgraceful.
The Stupid Party strikes again!
I’m glad someone here understands that. Thanks for posting.
I guess Repubs can then use Alan Grayson’s multiple comments and Bob Etheridges’ video in counter ads.
Maroons. An oil spill is not a natural disaster. It’s an environmental disaster. Katrina was a natural disaster.
I swear my head was exploding listening to this pigs in congress in their arrogance question the CEO of BP. I would LOVE to be able to question Congress this same way about their actions leading to the destruction of this Country. FIRE THEM ALL.
Barton’s comments will be forgotten in 24 hours.
Good. 0bama’s unfavorables are growing by the day. The public thinks he isn’t doing enough to BP. Get out of the way and let the blame 0bama meme continue to grow.
For cripe’s sake...
Gutless.
So I just called Rep. Bartons office. THey said Barton was made to apologize by leadership. He did not want to.
He should have told the “leadership” to pound sand. The American people are looking for somebody, anybody, to begin the stopping of the insanity/evil that is Obama.
Big mistake on his part. It is not only a shakedown it is government extortion. The truth is truth. No wonder the Republican Party is called the ‘stupid party’. Obama and his crooks should be in jail.
Let’s hope.
Everyone here understands that...as does the MSM who uses the word “natural” consistently, not surprising that a press release would do the same.
But, no need to fret, I will bet 100% of Americans and the world understand this was an oil spill and not a hurricane.
What are the odds we can drag the EPA into a conference room and demand they set up an escrow account for damages inflicted on citizens for unjustly regulating carbon, citing scientific negligence?
Jeez ... These WEAK Conservatives need to grow a pair! We need STRONG, BRAVE Conservatives to fight Obama in the next Congress, who don't buckle under MSM scrutiny or threats from the Left! |
BP was paying, and had actually already begun the claims process. Bambi’s latest move takes it out of BP’s hands, gives him a huge slush-fund, and makes the whole thing a politically controlled, illegal seizure (of which your average fisherman or shrimper is not going to see a dime).
