Our Dear Backhoe, lost his wife, Miss. Emily suddenly early Monday morning.
The Source URL will take you to the thread he posted on FRee Dominion (Our sister site in Canada), and this link takes you to his announcement here on FR.

Most of you know that Backhoe maintains the thread "DUBOB 11- more tales from the Dark UnderBelly Of the Beast...", and since his post was made there, very few have seen it.
Our good FRiend could really use our support, so please post all replies to Backhoe.
He is busy with funeral arrangements, so may not post much, or at all, but he will read it, and appreciate the love and support.
Thank you, fanfan.
We have never crossed paths on FR, but I extend to you my deepest sympathies. Tuesday was our 25th anniversary, and I cannot imagine my life without my husband.
I will say many prayers for you. God love you.
backhoe:
I’m so sorry for the loss of your precious friend. Just know that I truly believe that she is watching over you and is with you. You’ll be together in eternity. Anytime you feel you need to talk about her, any one of us would be honored to listen. You will be in my prayers.
So sorry to hear of your loss.
Hang in there
Thank you, one and all.
As I mentioned at the beginning, I can’t quite keep up with things, so I’m doing a generic reply- the latest news— and it’s not much- is here:

Thank you, all.
That was sweet, MOgirl. I lost my 28 year old nephew on April 22 to suicide. That was very comforting.
Thank you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, FRiend.
Thank you- I finally heard from our family Doctor, who was out of town, and she is going to find out why releasing Miss Emily’s body to the funeral home is taking so long. Not that I want to do this- inter her with her animals— but it needs to be done.
Thanks for the link, Backhoe.
Re: the song you linked.....You will see Miss. Emily again, but until then she would would want you to look after yourself.
Are you eating? Getting any sleep at all? You have to try. Do it for her.
*HUGS*
The nice black Mom across the street is bringing me food, and praying. It helps. Been sleeping fine except last night, when it all hit me. As I expected.
Finally talked to her Doc, and she's going to find out what's taking so long with the release of her body.
Glad to hear that.

Yeah, it'll be like that for a while, I guess.

OK, stay in touch. We're here for you.

You find the damnedest things on the web- 20 Apr 2008:
I wrote this a long, long time ago- many Dead Worlds ago- for a different Lady,
but in looking back ( don’t, something might be gaining on you... )
I think it applies to all the Ladies in our lives,
that we have loved, and lost:
My Lady smiles at me
across Infinity
from another time
another space
So far! Oh, so
very far away...
...and in my dreams
I see her still
Tall and proud
I always will
Alight with life,
she lived it well
Aglow with love,
she gave it well
Her song was Full
and though it’s still
I loved her well
I always will
Thank you, Steve— it’s still “hurry up & wait.” The Doc said she’d call the pathologist at 8, and so far, no word. Not that I really want to hear the gruesome clinical details, but I need to. Damn it.
That’s beautiful, Backhoe.
Thank you.
After every kind of three-ring circus you can name, I finally got the family Doc, who’d been out of town, and she finally shook the gross pathology report loose— no cause has been determined yet.
The know it wasn’t an aneurysm, stroke, or heart attack.
She- a cardiac surgeon— speculates an arrhythmia that caused Emily’s heart to just stop, but she emphasizes that it is speculation— she just doesn’t know for sure.
Thank you fanfan, for sharing this sad news with us.
Backhoe, we love you, we are with you. How can we help?
I looked it up.....
Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS)
In around 1 in every 20 cases of sudden cardiac death - up to 500 every year in the UK - no cause can be found, despite examination of the heart by an expert cardiac pathologist. The cause of death is therefore described as ‘unascertainable’. This is called Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, or SADS.

SADS...very fitting name for it. :-(
This probably means she suffered very little, if at all.
*HUGS*
AuntB, thank you, but damn if I know. It just has to be lived thru.
fanfan, thanks- I figured if her heart simply stopped, her blood pressure went to zero so fast she didn’t know what hit her. Praise God, through the pain.
