Washington, D.C. U. S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) today praised the U.S. Department of the Interiors announcement that the Bureau of Reclamations 2010 Central Valley Project Water Supply allocations continue to increase throughout the San Joaquin Valley. The allocations were the result of increased water supplies due to favorable weather conditions, and better water management.
Senator Boxer said, I am pleased that water allocations to the San Joaquin Valley have continued to increase throughout this spring. The Congress and the Administration must continue to work together on efforts to provide relief to farmers and communities facing water shortages.
The Bureau of Reclamation announced today that water allocations for agricultural water service contractors south of the Delta have increased to 45 percent up from the 40 percent allocation announced in May.
In March, at the urging of Senator Boxer, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Congressmen Jim Costa and Dennis Cardoza, the Bureau of Reclamation released its first update to initial allocations early so that farmers could make informed planting decisions.
At that time, the agency also agreed to pursue a series of other measures to provide additional supplies to the west side of the San Joaquin Valley. Senator Boxer has joined in meetings with Senator Feinstein, Department of Interior officials and other members of Congress to develop these short- and long-term measures to address water shortages in the Central Valley.
Well,it is an election year;)
I do not believe one word she speaks. Not one word. You believe her at your own peril.
The queen of partial birth abortion.
That stupid woman. The good people of the central valley see right through her bull crap. (I HOPE!)
Too little too late.
If she wins again... it will be to their peril..
Get that B out of office!
Paybacks for Obamacare.
Then POOF! It disappears right after she gets elected!
This is so frickin’ blatant. What a bunch of horse$hit coming out of this Democrat -itches mouth.
If she weren’t in trouble, deep trouble in the polls that water would never get turned back on with less than a total, all out assault by Pee’d off California farmers, and their allies.
A lousey 5% more water isn’t near what is necessary to set things right, but that lyin’ -itch is making political hay out of it. Hope she chokes on the hay.
There will be some endangered fish, rodent, or plant discovered around December.
Her favorite real estate speculators/campaign contributors have probably bought up all good land from the impoverished landholders that she wiped out. And for pennies on the dollar.
Now it’s time to turn the water back on and make some money. This sad tale was Saturday afternoon matinee fare 50 years ago. But now I’m guessing it’s very real and there is no cowboy with a white hat to come to the rescue.
Please..call her Senator...she abused a lot of people to get that title!
A stupid woman voted into office by stupid and greedy people. Do you really think she is going down?
Farmers can get all the water they need if they vote this moonbat out of office.....
Then POOF! It disappears right after she gets elected!
Babs Boxer is TOAST. This is her attempt to dig herself out of the Obama-suck-up trash can.
The closer we get to November, the more the water spigot gets turned open.
Much too late for the fruit crops. Many farms have lost a large percentage of their trees....Peaches, plums, apricots and oranges are going to be very expensive for the next few years....
Rewriting history.
I’m sure that the water ration increase has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with how the local congressmen voted on health care (they obviously voted yes).
I’m also sure that the increased ration has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the possibility of Carly Fiorina cleaning Barbara’s clock!
Perfect. The politicians cause the problems and then, out of the goodness of their hearts and because they are such brilliant politicians, they (semi) fix it.
Funny, never heard a word out of any of them until now, when it’s time to take credit.
