Is MSNBC Falling Out of Love with Obama?
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Michael van der Galien

Is leftist network MSNBC falling out of love with President Obama? It certainly looks like it.

Keith Olbermann, for instance, was less than impressed with Obama’s BP speech. “It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days,” the man who became (in)famous for doing everything in his power to discredit and disgrace conservatives said on his show yesterday. When guest Howard Fineman asked Olbermann whether he believed Obama had aimed too low, he responded: ”I don’t think he aimed low, I don’t think he aimed at all. It’s startling.”

A little later he quoted Obama as saying: “Our determination to fight for the America we want for our children, even if we’re unsure exactly what that looks like, even if we don’t yet know yet how we’re going to get there, we know we will get there.” Olbermann: “It’s nice, but again, how? Where is the how in this speech, when the nation is crying out for how?“

If you wouldn’t know any better, you’d almost think that it’s 2006, rather than 2010, and that George W. Bush instead of Obama is the president.

And Olbermann isn’t the only MSNBC hack suddenly becoming critical of the man once heralded by him and his fellow leftists as a secular Messiah. Even Chris Matthews finally realizes that the “thrill” he felt up his leg when listening to Obama giving speeches during the 2008 campaign, “was probably a stroke” (h/t the Daily Caller).

“I don’t sense executive command,” Matthews said about Obama’s handling of the BP oil spill.

Much ado about a temporary thing. MSM will return to their dear leader tomorrow.

Remember the brief moments in Apocalpyse Now when Dennis Hopper expressed slight reservations about some of Colonel Kurtz's actions?

Those moments did not dilute his utter devotion to the man. They were merely moments when he was too low and too worthless to fully appreciate the man's genius, man.

Agreed.

Once November nears, they will of course do thier solemn duty for their messiah.

But it was interesting that they sounded like Limbaugh for a day.

You almost wonder if it was on purpose, to accept that he has been floundering on this, and then later as the election nears, concoct some crazy comeback story about how he triumphed over the early screw ups.

Left now cannot deny that Obama is grossly incompetent.

They know how long the decision about Afghanistan took.

Now they witness this fiasco, and they realize they are stuck with the guy.

Not sure I believe that.

Just because they lost suction in the anal liplock they've had on Barry-O's behind for a moment doesn't mean they're going anywhere.

NBC is as Leftist as ever. I almost fell off the sofa yesterday morning when CNBC’s Squawk Box revealed its new “contributor,” Anita Dunn. She was the strange duck who told high school graduates that she most admired Mao and Mother Teresa and whose hubby is BO’s White House attorney. She still darts her tongue like a lizard, which NBC must find attractive. I no longer watch CNBC in the morning.

Left now cannot deny that Obama is grossly incompetent.

Sure as hell they can!! Here's what Keith Olbermann Twittered today, when his parishioners thought he'd lost the religion:

"This is easily the smartest political leader I have ever seen, as good a political public speaker as I've heard, + last October I was privileged along with 11 other newspeople to spend 2 hours with him as he showed extemporaneous mastery of every one of two dozen topics fired at him by us in random order. I left the room wondering if we had ever before actually elected a president who was one of the 1,000 smartest people in the country (or maybe 100, or 10) as we had now. I believe in him and in his presidency and he has frequently achieved success (in health care reform, particularly) by doing that for which I criticized him. I hope that is again the case now because the Gulf Speech was not up to his standards nor did it express his mastery of policy..."

I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's... he's a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas...

If they dump Obama as their boyfriend, though, who do they have left for their Annointed One? Cesar Chavez? Fidel Castro?

A couple very plausible explanations for this event.

First, were any of the anchors wearing strange clothes, or did Olberman have a goatee?

If not, I think we should check the studio for pods.
