They are not devoted to Obama, but to the cause. So long as Obama was helping the cause they saw him as the Messiah. Now that Obama, through his hubris, incompetence, and stupidity, has become an impediment to the case they will turn on him with all the fury of a lover scorned. They are devoted socialists. If the destruction of Obama is necessary for the furtherance of their cause they will destroy him without hesitation.
