BP will set aside $20 billion to pay the victims of the massive oil spill in the Gulf, senior administration officials said Wednesday, a move made under pressure by the White House as the company copes with causing the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history.
The independent fund will be led by lawyer Kenneth Feinberg, who oversaw payments to families of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. In his current role, Feinberg is known as Obama's "pay czar," setting salary limits for companies getting the most aid from a $700 billion government bailout fund.

Seriously, how are they going to define ‘victim’? Anyone living on the coast could probably come up with some explanation for how they were hurt, and there would probably be a very low burden of proof.
This is unemployment pay for those effected by the gov imposed moratorium.
Let me count the ways...moritorium on drilling, cost of oil products goes up, like gasoline...I drive...I have a claim.
Shrimping and fishing moritorium due to blow out...I love shrimp....I have a claim.
Oil fouling beaches...I live on Florida Coast...property values go down farther....I have a claim.
Oil fears keeping tourism down...businesses going under and cannot pay taxes....I make up the difference...I have a claim.
I am sure I can run this up into some big dollars...BUT, I am not a registered Dummocrat, I despise der Leader and his minions...CLAIM REJECTED.

Now a certain percentage of our personal money paid out for each gallon of BP gas will go to finance the campaigns of the Communist-in-Chief and the socialist, treasonous members of the Congress.
