The federal government is now telling American citizens to stay out of three southern Arizona counties. It is too dangerous because of armed smugglers from Mexico.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu: Quite frankly Im telling you as a sheriff that we dont control that part of the county. My county is larger than the state of Connecticut and we need support from the federal government. Its their job to secure the border and they havent done it. In fact President Obama suspended the construction of the fence.
Sheriff Paul Babeu: Even with that, you say one thing and then youre out at a fundraiser in California and you dont go to the funeral of the people who died in the explosion. You know its one thing to say something slick on television in a ten second soundbite but we need action. And, its shameful that we as the most powerful nation on earth can win wars and liberate countries throughout history yet we cant even secure our own border.

We have such a ineffective government. I am ashamed.
Uh, I have an idea. How about declaring open season, no limit? We can use that as a warm-up to deer season in the Fall.
Barry the wuss could solve this problem with a few Predators, Apaches and Warthogs. Unfortunately, Barry is too busy being “historical”.
In times of national emergency, we send in the National Guard.
Why? Posse Comitatus.
It’s rather academic, because many in our active armed forces today are actually in the National Guard. None the less, we don’t want Democrats like this prick coming back and saying, “Well, you bought off on the military in 2010. We’re going to use them now, door to door.”
We need plausible excuses to keep the left in check.
Do I care if the actual military were used in Arizona in a rational world, absolutely not. We just have to play defense with these jerks.
We need to get serious in Arizona, and I want the National Gaurd to go in guns and other things blazing. It’s time to put an end to this S.
It’s too dangerous for OUR citizens to be in OUR counties on the border?
WTF either get the military there and stop this invasion or tell the Gov of AZ to call up the militia (NG and Civilian).
We don’t give our land to invaders.
Most people reading this would think the link "fox ^" went to Fox News and this headline was written by Fox News.
Hell, it sounds like a free fire zone.
No need to go to the range, just shoots the interlopers>>>>>>/S
Yes. It’s a two-fer...
Governor Brewer should call up the militia to repel this invasion.
Damn right. Set them back two hundred yards from the border
and have them cut down on any thing coming from the Mexican
side. It won’t take long.
Well, I can’t argue against sound logic, damn it. Cut it out!
The Kenyan won’t budge.
I know its not quite a direct parallel but I am reminded of an order (General Order #11, 8/25/1863 by Gen. Ewing) for citizens to vacate 4 counties in Missouri because of the inability to control guerilla raids into Kansas.
I suspect it could be considered a precedent.
Don’t a few of those sounthern AZ counties have the missle silos?? Beisde the fact that it is US land some of which some Americans own, it would seem like those silo sites might be worth securing?
Maybe he should give them Philadelphia. That would be a major improvement to the state of Pennsylvania.
Agreed! :)
Let me get this straight. We’re going to surrender in Arizona and bring the troops home.
Will America stand back and let it happen?
Of course they will.
What’s shocking is that Pinal County isn’t even ON the border, it is north of Tucson (Pima County). I’ve been in Pinal County (back in the ‘90s). It’s a beautiful area, and to realize it has been lost to an invading army of marauding foreigners is beyond outrageous. This crap would never have happened under a responsible administration (and, sorry, but Dubya was AWOL on this, too).
