* Police discuss Surprise mom who chose to leave kids to become stripper
SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Police officers arrested a 29-year-old Surprise woman after she reportedly told police she didn't want her children any longer and punched her 11-year-old son in the stomach in front of officers.
On Friday, police received a call from an 11-year-old boy who said his mother was packing and moving to California and wasn't taking him or his 6-year-old brother with her.
When police officers arrived, they contacted the 11-year-old outside the family's apartment in the 16600 block of North Greasewood Street.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Mark Ortega, the boy's mother, Christina Muniz, came out and told officers that she was "sick of her children" and wanted the police to take them so she can "have fun and play."
Ortega said Muniz told police she wanted to start her life over and follow her dream of wanting to become a stripper and move to California.
The older boy told investigators that he took care of himself and his little brother. He said their mom spent her money on alcohol and there wasn't very much food in the house.
Responding officers contacted Child Protective Services.
Ortega said Muniz continued to be verbally abusive to the children in the presence of CPS and police. She reportedly yelled at the children, cursed at them and told them she did not want them.
As the children were being removed by CPS, the older boy attempted to hug his mom and she punched him in the stomach, according to Ortega.
CPS had been contacted in the past for reports of physical and emotional abuse, but caseworkers said the complaint was unsubstantiated.
Muniz was arrested and charged with child neglect, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
If they were in Georgia my wife would already be down at the courthouse asking to foster them.
He said “teenager”. He didn’t say “adult” or “child”.
“Yikesis that what passes for stripper quality these days?”
Inserting appropriate liberal punchline here....
In ARIZONA it does.
See how stupid it makes AZ look? This is why we’re going to start hearing about every wild, evil horrid crime in AZ.
Do the math and she was apparently 17 when she got knocked up. I’d say over 95% of 18 year old girls have neither the emotional maturity, let alone financial stability, to be having/raising children.
Thats because they haven’t been taught to be responsible.
“follow her dream of wanting to become a stripper and move to California”
At least she has goals! /sarc
18 is an adult. Young adults are quite capable of being good parents. Age does not make someone a good parent.
“Do the math and she was apparently 17 “
29 - 11 = 18
I believe that poster was pointing out that the children were victims of their mother being on drugs.
WHOA! Didn't see that one coming.
I believe you didn’t pick up on the rather blatantly satirical tone of my post....
GUILTY. Put the tweezers down and step away from the mirror.
I'll speculate that Ms. Muniz' mother was about 14 when Ms. Muniz was born.
Not only guilty, but unqualified for her career choice.
Nah. Physically she looks rather exotic and pretty. But beyond that..... eeew.
If you’re going to go be a stripper, that’s just great. If you’re going to be a successful stripper, this one doesn’t have what it takes.
Burkha-Class Stripper
She’s a pre-op stripper.
Plastic surgery will help her bring in the bucks.
