The special relationship is over. We gave America years of unwavering support after September 11. And now we see how Barack Obamas administration repays us.
First, Obama declared that America was neutral over the sovereignty of the Falklands, ignoring the clear wishes of the islands population. And, second, his Assistant Secretary of State, Philip Crowley, snubbed Britain by failing to use their proper name and instead calling them the Malvinas.
I dont know where Obama learned about diplomacy, but his stinks...
Let me be clear: Im not normally in favour of boycotts, and I love the American people. I holiday in their country regularly, and hate the tedious snobby sneers against the United States. But the American people chose to elect an idiot who seems hell bent on insulting their allies, and something must be done to stop Obamas reckless foreign policy, before he does the dirty on his allies on every issue.

GOOD! Starve the beast. This isn’t your daddy’s USA. I’m all for the boycott.
2009
STRASBOURG, France (AP) - Welcomed with thunderous cheers, President Barack Obama pledged on Friday to repair damaged relations with Europe, saying the world came together following the 2001 terrorist attacks but then “we got sidetracked by Iraq.”
“We must be honest with ourselves,” Obama said. “In recent years, we’ve allowed our alliance to drift.”
In his opening remarks, he underscored European and American ties and appeared intent on improving the U.S. image abroad, which suffered under George W. Bush. “I’ve come to Europe this week to renew our partnership,” Obama said, bluntly claiming that the relationship between the United States and Europe had gone adrift, with blame on both sides.
“In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world,” Obama said.
The world was going to love us again once President Obama took office. It is not working out as they said.

It’s still all about them.
They defecate oil over over thousands of square miles and they still don’t give a damn.
They act like they spilled a few crackers on the floor. Brits are clueless. Let’s dump about 5 million gallons in the Thames river, maybe they’ll get the picture.
I don’t know what their lefties have to complain about. They got exactly who and what they wanted in the Oval Office.
ROFL, she was in a limo...not the kind of vehicle he expected to pick him up. She just asked about his family and how he was doing, and the instant her companion addressed her as “Your Majesty” he figured it out. He said she was very nice and wasn’t nervous until the MP’s came for him!
Forty Years
Joe Jackson
Here in Berlin, people line up to get in
To wait for the end, living in glorious sin
Theyve looked around and now there is no looking back
To when rivers ran red, now its the sky that grows black
Shadows are cast as two giants roam over the earth
We light a match, but what is that little flame worth
Once allies danced and sang
But it was forty years ago
Here in D.C., they talk about Euro-disease
And how the French are always so damn hard to please
Motions are passed in Brussels but no one agrees
And no one walks tall, but no one gets down on their knees
Once allies laughed and drank
But it was forty years ago
Where I come from, they dont like Americans much
They think theyre so loud, so tasteless, and so out of touch
Stiff upper lips are curled into permanent sneers
Self-satisfied, awaiting the next forty years
Once allies cried and cheered
But it was forty years ago
Oh yes, everyone was going to LUV America when George Bush was out of office.
Please boycott us.
Hey Brits
You wanted him, you got him.
Well?
” First, Obama declared that America was neutral over the sovereignty of the Falklands, ignoring the clear wishes of the islands population. And, second, his Assistant Secretary of State, Philip Crowley, snubbed Britain by failing to use their proper name and instead calling them the Malvinas.”””
Can’t you stupid guys figure out that he hates you???
Malvinas
What a hoot.....
“We gave America years of unwavering support after September 11.”

No, you gave Western Civilization “unwavering support” after 9/11.
This IS as much YOUR fight as it is ours.
Also to be fair, Britain in many colonies
- Ended cannibalism, slavery, and piracy.
- Taught thieves and pirates how to swing from British yardarms of good New Hampshire oak.
- Taught the native people two concepts they'd never heard of before: "fairness" and "love". Cultural imperialism at its foulest -- low blow!
- Taught the native people that the ocean was a highway, with interesting places and people and good trade goods at the other end of it.
- Taught native peoples who had never imagined them in 75,000 years, geography, the language of Shakespeare, Christianity, and the rule of law.
- Required the votaries of thuggee to stop strangling people by the side of the road, and the followers of the Mahdi why it was a bad idea to slaughter non-Moslems, and a good idea to lay down their arms while they were still alive.
- Proved to the whole of humanity, that they were worthy and qualified to rule a quarter part of it in the name of Almighty God and Good Queen Vicky. So there.
Any questions?
Actually, we weren't. There are comments of this kind (at least 7 on this thread) every time there's a report from the other side of the Atlantic that the British are unhappy with something the current regime has done or said. But the impression that Obama's election was greeted with unalloyed joy by this entire nation is very wide of the mark, I can assure you. Those who had, to put it at its mildest, doubts, may not have been as loud as the Obama fans and did not, on the whole, have the ear of the media - but there were (and are) plenty of them.
From where I sit it looks like the vast majority of rural people around the globe tend to be conservative.
You Brits would not BE in this mess if you could prove that since Bammy’s pappy was a British Subject his SON was ALSO a British Subject!!
Glad to hear this. I guess your media is like ours. They have an agenda and they ignore the majority. We hear that from Canadians all the time, too. That its not the people, its the media and government that hates us.
I respectfully disagree. I know some were skeptical but others were giddy.
And if many Brits didn’t like the pre-election 0bama (and I will accept that), would they have preferred the successor to the loathed-abroad George Bush?
There is no question that, along with its ills, British colonialism bestowed a positive legacy in many countries as enumerated by entulusgracchus.
