Oh oh. I thought Barry was going to make the whole world love us again. LOL!
Every day a new reason to hold these people in a new level of contempt.
Bambi is a fool who does not know who are real allies are.
Most of us (Americans) feel the same way. We’ll throw him and his out as soon as we can, but it may take a while. Sorry for the delay. If you hear sounds of warfare, just stay clear until they subside.
I have to say, while I applaud anyone for stepping up and dumping on Obama, it's getting a little tiring to read these little tantrums from Brits. After years of hearing them denounce us for not being believers of Global Warming/Cooling/Climate Change, now they're saying you can't attack BP because it'll hurt those who're invested in them, or have BP stocks in their portfolios.
Drudge linked to an article from some Brit commentator that shows all the awful things America has done to the UK, and what really caught my eye was how we entered the world wars late and that our losses weren't much compared to Britain's. It never occurs to these folks that our people died by the thousands to save THEIR land--we weren't in any immediate danger. (I'm not against our fighting in these wars, and of course we would have ended up fighting WW2 sooner or later--that's not the issue.)
I think the soccer thing today just shows how mature the British are, after always sniffing at everything American for decades, or centuries. Seems they can be just as childish as anyone else--which, of course, would be a devastating blow were they to admit that to themselves.
I think Americans on the whole respect the British but don't like them, while the British like Americans but don't respect them. Obama is just the latest opportunity for them to come out in the open with what some have long suspected.
BAKU, AZERBAIJAN JUNE 6: U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates (R) bows as he shakes hands with Azerbaijans Minister of Defense, General-Colonel Safar Abiyev on the tarmac at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport June 6, 2010 in Baku, Azerbaijan. On the table in front of Aliyev is a letter from President Barack Obama. Gates left Singapore earlier today after participating in the Shangri-La Dialogues Asia Security Summit, which ran from June 4 to 6, 2010. DL
Welcome to our world.....
I’m somewhat ambivalent about this rant. But France? really? They honestly helped you out greatly in WWII. And you don’t even speak their language. The Falklands? a last vestige of a sunsetted Empire. You don’t speak their language, either.
The FEW will control the masses. There really is no where to escape.
Are these the end times, who knows?
Many contend that the possibility of anarchy is very much in the air.

How has BP made you feel?
Me, too. And I LIVE here!
Sounds like some Bush “Miss Me Yet?” billboards need to go up over there. :)
It’s a ridiculous article because of the whole boycott thing, but I can appreciate the anger and the anti-Obama sentiment. Zero really does stick it in the eye of the British every chance he gets. The Special Relationship isn’t over because our interests still coincide; only when they permanently diverge will it truly end. Unlike Britain we have a constitution which doesn’t allow us to call for new elections at the drop of a hat...we have to wait it out until 2012. See you then Alex.
bump for later read.
