Yes, even McCain has a decent ACU rating the last time I read a report on it, but he is very devious. He votes rather well then shoots his mouth off deconstructing Conservative policy so that our bills are more likely to fail, even if he votes for them. That doesn’t show up in the ACU voting report.
As for Hayworth, he isn’t out hawking Leftist policy non-stop. He doesn’t have almost a permanent chair on the weekend talking head shows, where he rips Conservative efforts all the time. John McCain does.
Hayworth is a good man. His 98% rating reflects this.
The idea that both these men are diehard RINOs, is untrue. Besides, it’s more accurate to call McCain a Ted Kennedy Conservative, while calling Hayworth a Reagan Conservative.
I hope the phony conservatives like unseen1 keep up the lies, and the bad behavior. McCainiacs and Palinistas are dropping like flies here, as a result. ;-)
Tell you what, some of these ‘fake’ Conservatives are going to be disinvited if they aren’t careful.
Disagreements are one thing, but just flat out shilling for Kennedy Conservatives will sooner or later get you an invite to go elsewhere.

I see the same pattern of deliberately and aggressively lying about their Conservative opponents (and icons, e.g. Reagan's record) that eventually led to the infamous/celebrated (take your pick!) Guiliani "bug zapper" thread of May 2008. Contrary to the self-serving victimization myth perpetrated by the zappees and their surviving sympathizers and apologists, no one was banned for simply supporting Guiliani. They were banned for deliberately persisting in verifiable and documented lies, after repeated warnings, in thread after thread after thread.
