Saint Sarah To white evangelical women, Sarah Palin is a modern-day prophet, preaching God, flag, and familywhile remaking the religious right in her own image.
Another memoirist might prefer to keep such matters private, but Sarah Palin is not another memoirist. In Going Rogue: An American Life, Palin describes, perhaps for the first time in the history of political autobiography, a furtive trip to an out-of-state drugstore to obtain a do-it-yourself pregnancy test. This was in the fall of 2007, when the 43-year-old mother of four was governor of Alaska and began to notice some peculiar yet familiar physical symptoms, like the smell of cigarettes making me feel more nauseated than usual. So, while on business in New Orleansat a time and in a place where her anonymity was still possiblePalin procured the kit. In the privacy of her hotel room, she followed the instructions on the...box. Slowly a pink image materialized on the stick.
Bill Pugliano Sarah Palin's pro-woman rallying cry is poised to transform the Christian right into a women's movement. View a photo gallery of how her following has become big business. Cult of Palin Holy geez!

I had my mistake pointed out by several people before I saw their posts and agreed with them. I had been responding to other people on other threads. I immediately responded with an acknowledgment and apology. You never apologized for taking me to task after I had already admitted I made a mistake.
I pointed out to you that you were beating a dead horse because I agreed with you, and you couldn’t muster the backbone to say you were sorry for continuing to pile on.
It’s a matter of character. I understand you don’t have any, so let’s just let it go.
It does no good D1, if you don’t bow down in abject servitude to the Madonna of Wasilla then your just a left wing commie troll here to put a buzzkill on their dreams of the “New Jonestown”.
And you completely missed where I said the only reason I voted for McCain was because of Sarah Palin. Would I do it again? Hell no.
Did you write in Romney, Bob?
And honey, I'm willing to ber you're the only drooling and salivating over Sarah Palin since every post from you is about her on a Palin thread.
Obsess much, McGinnis?
So if McCain runs in 2012 and Palin decides to be his running mate, you won’t vote for the ticket?
Nope.
And again, she controls what people believe? Wow, seems like you’re the one elevating her to Saint, almost mystical levels.
I wish I could work up an objection Bob J, but it’s quite clear what is going on here. One side sticks to tangible facts and the other side sticks to tangible feelings to explain it all away.
We’re exactly where were were in 1999, getting ready to defend every single thing a RINO does for the next ten years.
John McCain will be this person’s confidant if they are both elected. After looking at McCain’s record, I won’t absolutely not part of that.
My only problem was that I didn’t bash Bush enough in 1999 and 2000. He should never have been our nominee.
I don't care how long you've been here or how much you think you've done for FR...it doesn't excuse your personal attacks.
The divisiveness you and your cohorts bring to FR doesn't help to unite us against the real evil of the Obama thugs.
But then, maybe that's your goal...
Fair enough and good for you.
I’ve been called worse and have developed pretty thick skin over the years. Remember, you’d talking to the ‘queen of the Bushbots!. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
Rintense, I’m not saying this to be mean or unfair to you, but what did you expect Sarah Palin to do after she was elected Vice-President?
After losing, McCain allowed his staff to savage Sarah without stepping in to put an end to it or defend her from them.
What could possibly convince you he would have treated her any differently than we predicted before the election?
She would have gotten the Kennedy/Johnson treatment. Her last meeting with him would have been the night of the November election. The next time they met to actually talk about policy would have been in November of 2011.
Okay, you wouldn’t do it again. Now, are you happy with someone else supporting him?
Be honest with me. This guy is unsupportable. Supporting a man of this caliber just screams danger concerning anyone who could.
If folks would be honest about it, we wouldn’t be pounding that point home here for months at a time. I don’t know how a person who is themselves a Conservative could vote for a man with McCain’s past.
Hey, that’s just my take on it, and I can’t help thinking along those lines.
“I don’t care how long you’ve been here or how much you think you’ve done for FR...it doesn’t excuse your personal attacks.”
The Palinista brigade is an attack machine. I can’t count the numer of times a well meaning FReeper has come onto a Palin thread to express the minimum of doubts about Palin and was savagely and brutally attacked. So don’t talk to me about the origins or severity of personal attscks.
“The divisiveness you and your cohorts bring to FR doesn’t help to unite us against the real evil of the Obama thugs.”
TRANSLATION - If you have concerns or doubts about Palin, you are a divisive, evil entity standing between Palin supporters and their dreams of armaggedon ushering in the thousand year reign of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Because you know, it can’t happen until Jerusalem is smoldering ruin and the remaining Jews convert to Christianity and there is no one better situated to press that nuclear button than Palin.
” McCain has spent the better part of the last nine months attempting to remake himself as a conservative, particularly after that Rasmussen poll in Nov. 2009 that put him in an effective dead heat with the then-prospective candidate Hayworth. His attempts would not have been nearly as successful as they have been without the full-throated endorsement and support of Palin. “
Hayworth had gone from -22 to -7 until Palin came to town and made 4 appearances. Then 3 more on Fox News. Then radio ads running 24/7 every day for 3 months. She killed Hayworth momentum here.
Yeah, it just gets so old. Every Palin thread I read quickly turns into the same old thing. They don’t even have anything new to say.
Back to the thread after receiving a phone call.
McCain is the straw man for the left. They know the pures
will be distracted away from Obama and vent their hate against him.
McCain supports The Gov. of Arizona and the bill against illegals.
Ron Paul has questions about the bill and voted for amnesty in 2002.
The pures almost never post on the Obama threads.
If they had a choice between Marxist Obama v McCain, they would vote Obama.
wonder what flavor their kool aid is?
You don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t think you even know how you look to the rest of FR. See ya...
Do I regret it? No, actually. Because his loss exposed him for the incompetent, backstabbing jackass he's always been. It was a great eye-opener for me. And there was no way in hell a President McCain could have ever played second fiddle to Sarah Palin. She would have been gone within 2 years. I've said if Reagan's ghost were to run with McCain, I would NEVER vote for him again. That's still true to this day. And not even McCain/Palin Rd 2 would get me to vote for him (not gonna happen anyway).
And that's why I didn't agree with her endorsing McCain, because like the majority of Palin fans, we know what a treacherous, backstabbing Judas he is. And like Rush, Levin, etc., I don't like it- but I get why she did.
And what did JD do to reverse the momentum? Sounds like you’ve already accepted defeat and assigned blame.
