Letter: Time for McCain to retire
The Bugle, Camp Verde, Ariz. ^ | 2010-06-10

Editor:

It's time to retire Senator John McCain, 73, who's been in office 24 years.

Contrary to how he depicts himself, McCain has been a big government globalist during his entire senatorial career. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), which is dedicated to one-world government and the relinquishment of all national sovereignties.

McCain is a RINO (Republican In Name Only), a closet Democrat. Suddenly running scared, and with a $5 million campaign war chest to spend, McCain is blitzing TV with ads in support of securing the border: a 360-degree turnaround. If you're wondering why McCain hasn't supported border security before, there's a simple answer. He's been too busy allied with Democrat Ted Kennedy writing an amnesty bill for illegal immigrants.

McCain's radical left-wing positions are not in doubt. They're on the record. McCain

* supported amnesty for illegal immigrants

* spearheaded a limit on free speech: the campaign finance law

* supported legislation by the gun control lobby that would shut down gun shows

* supports the International Criminal Court, which could try U.S. citizens, and which is a surrender of U.S. sovereignty

* supported the precursor to the merging of Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. into the North American Union, which would end our sovereignty and independence

* introduced S.3002, the Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010, which is not about safety, but is about government control of the vitamin industry

* introduced S.3081, which would permit the federal government to detain American citizens indefinitely without trial

* in person is not the soft-speaking man you see on TV. In his Camp Verde appearance, he was rude, irritable, and arrogant.

McCain is mailing letters to Republicans urging hem to vote when early balloting begins in Arizona: July 29. He doesn't want his opponent, J.D. Hayworth, to have time to raise money or time to expose him. You can help cut McCain off at the pass by sending a donation to J.D. Hayworth U.S. Senate, P.O. Box 28604, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, and by not submitting your ballot until J.D. has rebutted McCain thoroughly.

Tom Tancredo, U.S. Congressman, l999-2009, says, "John McCain doesn't believe in enforcing our border laws--and instead of deporting illegal aliens, he wants to reward them with amnesty and government hand-outs.... We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to replace one of the worst pro-amnesty, open borders politicians in Washington with a consistent, strong-border, conservative patriot {J.D. Hayworth}."

Don't give McCain six more years to pursue pro-illegal immigration and to surrender our sovereignty. Defeat him now. Vote for J.D. Hayworth.

Yep,

No crap, Mcpain is a loser and a POS.

I respect his 5 plus years in a prison of war camp.

Today, he is a POS and a sell out.

I was a VET, not a POW and for that long lasting act of courage I salute John Mc Cain.

In 2010 John Mcpain needs to go hit golf ball balls and retire with grace.

"To me McCain is like a cadaver prepared for viewing. The removal of blood and organs equates to the trading away of honor and moral authority. The reputation that remains is like the cosmetics applied for viewing a corpse at the funeral. It is easy for anyone to get onto the same sort of gently downward sloping path. The final result is tragic, but we should not suffer such pathetic and contemptible modern day Macbeths or Hamlets as Republicans in the Senate or any other public office."

Outstanding! Let us hope the voters reject McCain.

McCain is a patsy. He was designed to lose.

McCain is a patsy. He was designed to lose.

If he was wittingly part of such a scheme, that means he was supposed to pull Sarah Palin down too - which explains his lukewarm defense of her (and the attacks by his "handlers", too).

What a bunch of snakes.

Agreed. He’s been all over the board, I’d forgive the write this error, as it’s probably technically not an error at all...Sadly.

Effective immediately.

Why is it the people in Washington refuse to retire at an age when they are still somewhat viable? No, they have a death grip on staying until they are on their death bed.

Name recognition is so POWERFUL, no matter what they do.

God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
