My daughter keeps saying he is a “libertarian” and fair.... I say he is a freaking typical Hollywood-type moron.

He is a performer. He plays a role. That “role” is a libertarian/pseduo-conservative. He’s a left leaning idiot, and his job is to enact a satire of the right.

If I was ever unsure of that, all I have to do is look at how much my liberal friends like him.

Rush was slurred on Wikipedia by false quotes (possibly by George Soros’ Media Matters who knowingly misquote hosts to smear them).

Liberal and friends do not go together in my vocabulary anymore. It is treason to give reprieve to communists...That’s all they are.

If he was “fair” then why the hell was he silent on Helen Thomas’ antisemitism until now?

Rosie O’Donnell says that Helen Thomas “was right”. Is she also fair game for criticism in the media now or does her role in the lavender mafia protect her from blacklisting?

Wow, that was a lame clip. Is his show always that plodding?

I’ll be your liberal friends couldn’t even tell Rush’s voice from a series of 4 guest hosts of his program (I offer up guest hosts because they may be more familiar with Hannity, O’Really, etc because of tv presence).

He reminds me of an earlier version of Dennis Miller- Miller USE TO bash liberals on his TV show (on HBO?) but he used to say it with such conservative words I actually wrote to him (one and only time i ever did that) and explained how his ideas were actualy conservative Ideas.

I was amazed to see him come out as a conservative now (I think I did it)

How much does being a repeat studio audience member pay, I wonder?

I don’t have any liberal friends either simply because chicken wings and beer don’t belong on the same poker table as tofu and soy milk.

I’m sorry you feel that way.

I was friends with these people before I became aware of their political leanings, and in most cases it is only a moderate slant. These are people who have been there for me when I have needed them, when my wife and I needed them, and I have been there for them.

Ignorance can be defeated by knowledge, error can be corrected, and liberalism can shift to conservatism. My wife was fairly liberal at one time, but the more she read and heard, and the more active we became, the more conservative she has become. Now she is just as conservative as I am.

My father once called me “politically agnostic.” He was surprised when he realized how conservative I am.

I will not burn bridges with good people simply because they have not seen the error of their ways. They have not acted against me, against our community or against our nation. They want the greater good, they are just misguided on how to achieve it. These are not people like Obama and his crew that are actively working against the United States, these are average people who fell prey to the limited feed from the MSM. How will they expand their knowledge if the only friends they have are also liberal?

Progress may be slow at times, but they listen to my points and arguments, and in at least some cases end up learning and agreeing with me. I should abandon them because some of their ideas are liberal? I think not.

Just heard Steve Malzerg and Noel Shepherd talking about this.

Seems vileness is the coin of the realm these days.

I have already won that little game with them. They don’t know a da#%# thing about any of the conservative talk show hosts, and they quit talking about them in my presence. They get shot down too much.

“...his job is to enact a satire of the right.”

I rarely regard Colbert, Stewart, SNL, and the like as satirists. I would describe them more as mockers.

We're in a shooting war now. Treasonous "friends" can get you killed now.

We never have tofu or soy milk on our poker table, and those liberal friends actually play poker with us. Granted, most of us don’t drink beer, but the chicken wings are there, along with pizza and some good whiskey.

On a side note, it’s amazing how fiscally conservative people become when poker chips are involved. After hearing one of my friends talk about how the rich should pay more taxes to help fund the poor, I reached over and took some of her chips to bet with. You can imagine her response... and mine.

Next play the “Who said this Communist Party USA or Democrats” quotes game with them...

QUIZ: Who said it — Democratic leaders or Communist Party USA?
http://dailycaller.com ^ | 06/08/10 | By The Daily Caller
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2530172/posts

1. “This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that open markets have created, and share its benefits more equitably. Trade has been a cornerstone of our growth and global development. But we will not be able to sustain this growth if it favors the few, and not the many.”

2. “Rebuilding the social infrastructure will generate 11 million jobs. At least 3 million could be at work within 6 months — if the funds were available from Congress.”

3. “Moving toward a productive green economy must be based on federal financing and a national industrial policy.“

4. “Only government can break the vicious cycles that are crippling our economy — where a lack of spending leads to lost jobs which leads to even less spending.”

5. “For nearly half a century the nation’s working people embraced and took comfort in the American dream — a dream whose promissory note read that if you work hard and do the right things, a good and secure life is attainable. I wouldn’t say that dream is dead, but more and more people have less and less hope that it is within reach. Forces beyond their control have snatched it from them.”

6. “While some have prospered beyond imagination in this global economy, middle-class Americans — as well as those working hard to become middle class — are seeing the American dream slip further and further away.”

7. “Recent victories in Congress such as passage of Health Care Reform legislation with not a single Republican yes vote exposes the Republicans as the ‘Party of NO.’”

8. “Because our individual salvation depends on collective salvation. Because thinking only about yourself, fulfilling your immediate wants and needs, betrays a poverty of ambition. Because it’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential and discover the role that you’ll play in writing the next great chapter in the American story.”

9. “The Tea Party was birthed by media extremists and racist elements to break up the unity of 2008. They were able to change the debate and peel off some Democratic votes, but they were not able to stop the legislation.”

10. “I think the American people have to make a judgment about the obstructionism of the Republican senators.”

11. “Only majority movements can skin the rightwing cat, the neoliberal dog, and the globalizing rat.”

Hardly a surprise for a guy who blames Obama by saying, “It’s Bush’s fault.”
