Quote from the memo: “”When you look at the most recognized brands throughout the world, such as Coke or Apple, for instance . . .”
Huh?
Coke is to Coca Cola what Chevy is to Chevrolet.

"When you look at the most recognized brands throughout the world, such as Coke or Apple, for instance, one of the things they all focus on is the consistency of their branding," I'd call this person a stupid auto exec, but that would be redundant. "Coke" is short for "Coca-Cola" in exactly the same way that "Chevy" is short for "Chevrolet."
Moron.

Well, Chevy was the largest selling brand on the planet for years as it was referred to in exactly that manner.
Great to see the genius of government ownership kick in.

My first truck was a ‘67 Chevy with a .327 and three on a tree. To much for a 15 year old. What was daddy thinking???

That’s only because nobody wants a government manufactured Chevy and the levy is now filled with oil.

The American public in general, despite the efforts of the GM Ivory Tower execs, will never stop using Chevy.

These guys (gals) are truly idiots.
Trucks are what’s keeping them alive, see how many burly construction workers or farmers etc are going to go into to their dealership and ask for a Chevrolet truck.
To: jakerobins
So this is how those idiots are spending taxpayer money - “fixing” a well-established brand. Sigh.

Yet another lefty attempt to control attitude by controlling the language.
I have a Chevy (plink) that I had since 2001 but I won't buy another Chevy (plink) until GM no longer stands for Government Motors.
If that doesn't happen, I'll continue to say "Chevy" (plink) until I saved enough quarters to buy a Ford.
