Chicago’s showdown over WalMart pits Blacks desperate for work against Union Thugs and Democrats
The Collins Report ^ | June 10, 2010 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

WalMart is back knocking on Chicago’s door asking for permission to build a new store within the City’s boundaries.

In 2006 the mega store also tried to get approval for a store and the Marxist’s running the Windy City turned them away because their union thug masters slammed the door in WalMart’s face. What happened next would have embarrassed ordinary politicians but not that bunch. WalMart built a store one block outside of Chicago’s limits and had 25,000 mostly Black Chicagoans apply for the 325 available jobs.

Chicago’s Council ducking, hiding

A vote on WalMart’s new application has been stalled and delayed in the City’s Zoning Committee with the latest delay coming last week because its Chairman is wholly owned by union bosses who won’t allow the mega store into “their” city.

Citing a Loyola University study of Walmart’s Austin Texas store to back up their claims, unions have been whining about WalMart’s supposedly low pay and detrimental impact on neighboring stores, but an analysis done by The Chicago Sun Times (CST) shows those claims are little more than half truths and distortions.

Declaring the study’s data to be weak and inconclusive, CST found no evidence Austin had been damaged when WalMart opened its store. Admitting stores did close and 300 people lost their jobs as Loyola reported, but CST countered by showing the immediate area experienced a blossoming of new stores that hired approximately 300 workers. Moreover CST proved Loyola neglected to mention that the lost jobs paid an average of $2.75 less than the newly created jobs.

Chicago’s 11.3% unemployment means nothing to the unions and Democrats denying Blacks who are 17.1% unemployed a chance to work. With these people Party always comes first.

Chicago and others ignoring Texas/Florida model

DISAGREE.

Keeping black children in inferior schools has a lot to do with the economic plight of the black family.

Race hustlers convincing the black population that they can’t succeed due to the white man keeping them down.

Elites creating a welfare system designed to keep blacks in their place.... At the bottom of the economic ladder and beholden to the race hustlers both black and white.

You hit the nail on the head. Public education has done its work well. Inner city schools produce ignorant, illiterate and angry citizens who are destined to be unemployed.

The Charlie Rangels and others in the Congressional Black Caucus block any real effort to improve the schools because they benefit from a voting bloc that is ignorant and welfare dependent. Remember that almost the first thing Obama did when he became president was eliminate the voucher programs. That says it all.

Black politicians and hustlers like Jessie and Al have contempt for black people. Making sure that blacks stay ignorant has made them rich. No way would they change that situation.

Part of the truth is that the democrat party wants to control their lives, where they work and how they work just as they did before 1865. The democrat slave masters have not changed their lust for power, they just tell different lies and make different promises.

***Not as long as they are being “educated” in union-run schools.****

I would put quotes around the word school as well.

Yep. The “Civil Rights Leaders” have become the new slave-masters. Not with chains of iron, but with chains of ignorance and hate.

Maybe Michelle O will go to bat for Walmart.

Would bet money the new Walmart would be built in a “food desert”...

I agree with all that you are saying. All of that is true. However, just look at the bigger picture. How is that possible? Do you really believe if the rolls were reversed, just substitute black for white in your statements, do you really believe it would go on for centuries? Some people have an “addictive” trait. They destroy themselves with drugs, food, etc. You could argue that the drug lords, casinos, fast food joints are “keeping them down”. It’s their problem and it takes an heroic effort for those individual to beat the problem. We should do all we can to help, but again “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink’. To blame that individual for their make up is wrong. To provide all the help we can is right. But ask anyone that has tried intervention, tough love, ...support...and still watched the train wreck, some times, some things can’t be fixed.

Perhaps the "Blacks desparate for work" will finally wake up and see the plantation they've been kept on by Unions/Democrats for decades.

Probably not...

I’m ready for the flames, but here goes. After raising kids and observing grand kids I can’t help but draw one conclusion. It’s nature, not nuture. I think culture reflects the basic reality of the abilities of the individuals, not the other way around. There are exceptions to the bell curve, but there are truths in the old saws like “you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”. I know it’s not P.C., but some things just stare you in the face...

Why, it's Jimmy the Greek!!!

There's no doubt that individuals differ. There's some people that you just know...their highest and greatest calling is working on a construction site.

But that's a very broad brush you're painting with there. One of the most successful people I know is one of the least bright people you could imagine. But he's got a first-class temperment and what we refer to as "middle class" values. He owns an alarm clock, and he uses it. He doesn't make excuses for himself.

The reasons for his success have nothing to do with the color of his skin, but his temperment and his values.

We all use so little of our potential...that's one crime. Preventing others from using more of theirs...that's a crime against humanity.

It's not a matter of race, but a matter of VALUES...and a matter of faith.

Hmmm.... Are there no black union thugs and democrats in Chicago? I thought all Chicago blacks were union thugs or democrats or both?

Maryland passed a Walmarts health mandate bill that mandated that all companies that were exactly like Walmarts (it was the only one) provide health care to their employees, even part time emplyees. Walmarts sued in a federal court and got the law overturned.

But more recently I read that Obama-care was written is a way that doesnt cost Walmarts much but will crush small businesses, something they are famous for. It was very disappointing. It is one thing to offer lower pices, another to use the government power. The bottom line, businesses love government to protect them.

I agree. With all my heart.

I also never read about a pit bull being an outstanding retreiver. Can pit bulls be taught to fetch ducks. Maybe.
Are there outstanding individuals of all races? Of course. Emotions and desires cloud basic facts. What we want to be the “truth” doesn’t make it true. Global Warming caused by man is a lie. The bell curve is a fact. When we ignore facts, we make bad decisions. A kid fell from a 17 story building and survived. Try a bell curve on that activity and tell me how safe 17 story falls are for kids.

Blacks have not been free for centuries. During slavery times it was against the law to teach a black person to read.

Even in the 50s there was discrimination in hiring, in schools, even in public water fountains......blacks.......whites.......

Education was hardly a priority when you couldn’t even walk the streets safely in white areas.

They are still on a plantation, this time under the whip of the race hustlers. Pretty damned sad.

The dems feed their insecurities and insist that the republicans want them to be enslaved when it’s really the union thugs, the politicians of both colors.

If you think housing is freely available to black families anywhere and everywhere in America you are in denial.

Further, living in a good area means good schools but that option is not always on the table for black families.

I didn’t grow up in the South, I grew up on the east coast and saw plenty of discrimination against blacks.

The poverty pimps reaffirm that their plight is not of their own doing but is someone else’s fault.

An success requires hard work to repeat,
an excuse can be re-used again and again.
