Salon.com Equates Helen Thomas to Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity; Blames Departure on Sexism, Ageism
Newsbusters ^ | June 8, 2010 | Jeff Poor

It's hard to imagine a scenario where one would be sympathetic toward former "dean of the White House press corps" Helen Thomas following her videotaped remarks that Israeli Jews "should get the hell out of Palestine" and go back to Germany or Poland.

However, in a June 7 column on Salon.com, Anna Clark wrote that Thomas deserved leeway, since some talk radio personalities say "controversial, even despicable comments," but manage to keep their jobs.

"I don't like how Thomas voiced her opinions in this video; it was sloppy and hurtful," Clark wrote. "But her views aren't exactly news; the gist of them are evident from her past columns. Meanwhile, Thomas joins a long line of opinion-makers who have uttered controversial, even despicable comments. Rush Limbaugh, anyone? Glenn Beck? Howard Stern? Sean Hannity?"

She got old and either didn’t care or forgot herself.

When the far left believes they are among fellow travellers, they don't mind being open with their hate.

She was

STANDING IN FRONT OF A BUNCH OF YOUNG MEN IN YAMULKAS!
AT A JEWISH HERITAGE APPRECIATION DAY LUNCHEON!

I guess they disgusted her so much she had to vomit out her comment.

She may have felt particularly ballsy. Or she may have figured they voted for Obama and would likewise be pro-Palestinian.

This type of rationalitation can only make sense in the alternative reality of the liberal mind.

I imagine her later on, thinking (saying?) WADDYA MEAN THE MICROPHONE WAS ON!?!?!?!?!?!

Even though I know better; that she blurted that out during an interview.

So when does Rush, Beck, and Limbaugh get front row seats at WH Press Briefing??

That would be a hoot.

In Helen Thomas’ case it is “Can’t lookism.” I’m already blind in one eye.

This nonsense by Salon's Anna Clark is not surprising. Leftists always try to shift justified blame for their offensive antics by throwing out the names of conservatives and/or those they consider to be social pariahs. Attempting to distract by wailing about what someone else did that is supposedly even more offensive and thus attempting to take the spotlight off of the leftist being boorish. The sad thing is that sometimes it works.

However, Anna Clark gives the game away when she uses the excuse that Helen Thomas got 'sloppy', meaning - to me, anyway - that Clark realizes Helen Thomas said what most, if not all liberals believe; that the existence of tiny Israel and Jews living in their ancestral homeland are 'the problem' and need to disappear (presumably, back to Auschwitz). Thomas also made a point of (erroneously) stating that 'Palestine' is 'occupied' by Jews, who need to "get the h--- out! This is the Arab line - and its a lie.

Israel was was given statehood in 1947 via the United Nations and Great Britain. Jews had been in Israel for 3,000 years. The anti-Israel types employ the meme that "Palestine' is an Arab 'homeland' and that the Jews 'stole their land' (a lie) and now 'occupy' their land. (another lie). Of course, it's really just tribal hatred fueled by the Muslim holy book, the 'Qur'an', that puts a 'religious' sheen over what is really deep-seated, tribal-based animosity.

So, Helen Thomas is finally gone from the White House press room and her vile utterances will be heard no more. Too bad it took so long to dislodge her.

Anna Clark better watch what she says & who she supports in the future. Badmouthing Israel & Jews might not sell so well in the future.

LOL!!

Yes, her mug is definitely too hideous for publication.

Even a contractor’s trash bag isn’t opaque enough to obscure her ugliness.
